I loved the Tiny Desk performance. Taehyung seems to be really enjoying the promotion period and that adds significantly to the experience of the viewer too. Actively Involving the band, the background dancers, it raises the overall effect. He's done a good job with his performances and promo. The album might not be to everyone's taste, but he's doing his thing and seems comfortable solo. He tried on so many things...visually, vocally, performatively. I hope he grows more and more into his own person with time. I wish the same for all the boys.

I wasn’t expecting a compilation but I actually liked it, it was cute and fun and now I want more behind the scenes! A nice way to end the chapter. I understand why the MVs were all scheduled like that now. It was a journey

BTS’ V sees his first solo studio album, Layover, launch at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, earning 100,000 equivalent album units in its first week. Of that sum, album sales comprise 88,000, SEA units comprise 9,000 (equaling 12.95 million on-demand official streams of the set’s six tracks) and TEA units comprise 3,000.

Enjoying this a lot. Smooth, brooding and cohesive R&B. He really is a nice vocalist with such a warm, thick tone and BTS's music doesn't accomodate it aside from on select songs. I think they've also done a good job with his English diction, which wasn't always good.

 

 

My top 3 is currently Love Me Again, For Us and Slow Dancing. For Us really hit me today... so melancholic.

 

I'm glad he has been able to make the music he wants to make rather than hybe trying to turn him into a pop boy.
