Fun. - "Some Nights" (Appreciation Thread)

What an album.

This album takes me mentally to 2012, and I don't feel that way with every album.

I wonder if their next album would be as big as this one?

A classic that was more deserving of everything We Are Young got, but at least Janelle got that grammy, certifications and royalties….

All the singles were terrific.

It's a shame they broke up.

She has not. :rip: Gotye/Kimbra has won Best Pop/Duo and she wasn't credited on SOTY victory.

I’ve always thought about this. Some Nights feels SO anthemic, euphoric, and just fun. It’s extremely well produced and IMO superior

I had just moved to London when this record came out, and it became my soundtrack. Some Nights spoke to me profoundly at that particular time in my life, and Out On The Town is one of the best songs ever written. Every time I listen to this record now, it brings me back to that time and deep-seated feelings and memories bubble up in a melancholic and euphoric way. I used to run around London in summer heat, listening to this and Paramore, feeling so free and alive, being so stupid.
