These award shows have always been rigged. The Elite play favoritism and now you have record labels bribing the committee to give their artists awards. 

 

Once upon a time it may have met something (when Gaga and Swift swept) but not anymore. But I think this corruption dates back further, when Beyonce's father was on the committee (not shade)

 

We should take this moment to boycott the Grammys and not watch until they give out awards for REAL talent, skill,  and memorable music. I hope The Last Of Us TV show tonight has more viewers. 

 

 

 

i dont think the grammys system is perfect but i do not think that the award means nothing now, i still see it as a symbol of greatness in music. also dont they have more than 11k voting members? i dont think rigging is impossible i just think that sometimes it really is the committees vote whether i like it or not

People keep pushing this flawed narrative that there are ten people sitting around a table deciding on the Grammy winners and it is not the reality.

I would never glamorize the rich getting awarded.

 

I think stans underestimate behind the scenes perception of their faves.

 

Most of the voting committee comprised of 1000s of voters from sound mixers to audio engineers to producers and A&R have different preferences.

 

Beyoncé may be revered by the public through and through but has constantly lost because maybe, just maybe, the voters just dont find her work completely self contained, whereas Adele and Billie only have a handful of team members.

 

Point is, there is a general dissonance between how artists are actually seen behind closed doors and how they present to the public. Taylor and Beyoncé may act above it but if they have any chance at AOTY you damn well know theyll be busting their ass to win it.

Grammy voters are old musicians 
and they only value music that is done by a handfull of people and that is not groundbreaking

My faves aren't nominated but they're still a joke of a show just like the AMAs, BMAs, VMAs lol
