Hate Me and Runaway are right there like what gives

  • 3rd biggest 23 release in the UK, 1st from female and foreign artists, most downloaded album of the year.    Europe saving her ass this era.

  • Heldenzeit
    Heldenzeit

The highs of this album are SO high, like Trustfall, Runaway, Hate Me, Feel Something, Last Call, even NGNDA

Weeks have gone by and I also have a different impression.

1. Hate Me (Signature Pop Rock P!nk which would have slayed if she kept this sound for the rest of the entire album. Showing Olivia Rodriguez that she remains the HBIC in this genre.)

2. Trustfall (The incredible for P!nk’s standards very experimental bop that should be pushed more despite the ongoing Robyn comparisons.)

3. Runaway (The 80s vibe which was en vogue when Dua and The Weeknd perfected it in the early 2020s. Why wouldn‘t it work for P!nk?)

4. Long Way to Go (This is like the best grower and has that goosebump factor.)

5. Turbulence (This should remain an album song only. A gem you‘d like to come back to any time.)

6. Feel Something (Yet another typical album only song which is beautifully produced.)

7. Last Call (I can already see the tour video for this. Final single potential and gives me that underrated song kind of feeling like it was the case with Walk Away on Try This.)

8. Never Gonna Not Dance Again (A bop yes, but quality? It was clear that it should appeal to generation Z but failed horribly with the Can‘t Stop the Feeling comparisons.)

9. When I Get There (Great ballad, but that‘s about it. Wouldn‘t want to listen to it on repeat I guess.)

10. Our Song (What surprised me the first times I‘ve listened to this turned out into a fad real quick. Leave the dramatics to Adam Lambert. This would fit him perfectly.)

11. Kids in Love (Cute song and all but it‘s just there without any special ugh huh effect.)

12. Lost Cause (It‘s gotten boring right from the start. The I‘m a *****… lyric when ends with …boy you‘re an ******* is my favorite part though.)

13. Just Say I‘m Sorry (Boring, boring, boring. I don‘t see the appeal here. I‘m even not fond of Love Me Anyway. Time for her to continue You+Me instead.)

Why does everyone hate Lost Cause? Is it because of the vocal effect?

she sounds kinda grating at some part

Kids in Love & Just Say I'm Sorry are on 'This is P!nk' so that may be why.

it seems like nobody create the uk chat thread for this week :keir:

I know that I've dragged NGNDA (we all have?), but it has this warm, feel good chorus that I just love.

Such a shame it didn't do better. :shakeno:

i just tired to listen to Kids in Love again, it's not that bad if you listen to it individually, but if you listen in the album sequencing, those two collabs one by one is such a snoozefest

I'm glad I'm not the only one that likes Last Call. It's a grower and catchy.

It would actually make a perfect final single from this era.

Ok, so here's my ranking as well:

Last Call

Our Song

Trustfall

Hate Me

Long Way To Go

Runaway

Lost Cause

Turbulance

Just Say I'm Sorry

Never Gonna Not Dance Again

When I Get There

Kids In Love

Feel Something

Feel Something

Never Gonna Not Dance Again

Lost Cause

She needs to stop doing collabs. They're weak :rip:

Honestly anything under When I Get There is probably gonna fall into the You Get My Love/Hustle/Here Comes the Weekend Tier where I'd only listen to it if I'm listening to the album.

I actually thought she’d be #1 again as she managed to remain at #1 all week on iTunes. She is yet again #1 on there after the initial new release rush on Friday.

Our Song could actually be a hit, since it's the kind of (our) song the GP likes.

iTunes is dead. It's all about physicals during album release week, so Gorillaz were on lock for the #1.

When I first heard it it screamed smash to me, but turns out I mustve had corona or whatever

Estimated to do ~28k second week in the US and be #12.

Not bad honestly. Physicals are strong. If Trustfall (single) becomes a hit I could see this hovering in the top 20-30 for a while. Otherwise, we're looking at a 12-50-100-OUT situation :rip:

Someone said to me that the last call chorus reminds them of sign of the times

It has that same melody/chord progression/structure, but it also has the same as The Art Of Starting Over by Demi

Fans should focus on making it a hit

Lately I've been making my own sequence for the whole album to listen, and I think it's pretty amazing to put When I Get There after NGNDA, especially when she asked "why it's stopped?" And then WIGT starts to play... Goosebumps...
