Artists who replace other's presence

Featured Replies

Sometimes GP are not really familiar with the image of artists, they just consume the outputs like anything served to them without minding who is behind this song, unlike us, the dedicated stans

For example

from my lens,

Sam Smith kinda took Adele's spots during her break in 2014-2015 with those ballads, even though she finally reclaimed it back

Ariana replaced Katy for those fun Pop radio hits after PRISM era (2014), when her career plummeted down while Ariana's career surged up and scored Pop radio hits back to back

Any other example?

Rita Ora was a psyop to replace Rihanna since the latter got back with Chris Brown and it was a bad look for her image and reputation.

Oh wow

Ariana completely replaced Katy Perry the second "Problem" came out, it's actually wild. Like, Katy NEVER had a big hit after that. Her PRISM era died immediately with "Birthday" failing to take off like everyone had expected it to. It's like all the young tween/teen girls who were the bread and butter of her audience migrated en masse to Ariana and dropped Katy.

Katy replaced by Ariana is too accurate, I know a lot of people (on social media and in real life) who used to be katycats and now love Ariana. :celestial5:

Olivia replaced Camila :gaycat4:
