Such is the case for OXOHs...best to ignore them. 

The "After Hours" red suit + bruised face look is already becoming one of the most recognizable pop star costumes for Halloween, especially when it comes to the recent generations of MPGs and MPBs. Anyone who paid even some attention to mainstream music these past couple years will be able to tell who you're dressing up as. Not to mention how fans have frequently paid tribute to the outfit, including when seeing him in concert this summer.

 

OT: I think it's too early to call him a horror icon, but among music artists, he's successfully showcased his knowledge and appreciation for the genre on several occasions (if you have the first three thumbnails age-restriced, they're the music videos for "In Your Eyes", "False Alarm", and "Too Late")

 

 

 

He also became the first pop artist to grace the cover of Fangoria - a magazine published since 1979 and specialized on horror films. It honoured his collaboration with makeup FX artist Mike Marino, and features a pretty disturbing prosthetic face work he did for the "Gasoline" music video.

 

 

I agree he doesn't have a Halloween classic like "Thriller" or "Disturbia" to his name (though "The Hills" 's production shows he has all the potential to craft something brilliant), but his visuals definitely make up for it.
