She just knows she can't get a stable GP hit (hasn't since four eras ago) so she's being strategic here - maximizing first week streams and relying on fans pre-ordering several versions of her album blindly.

The versions are normal but buying album to have exclusive access to presale tour tickets is a bit tacky

this has been done for decades

It's not 73 versions. Clean versions and merch that is not physical music don't count.

No, but her haters are. Merch does not include a digital copy and thoses bundles are fake.

Also releasing an album on vinyl, CD or casette is not being desperate. There are only 4 versions.

is more like she's obsessed with success

i mean her breaking down on camere because reputation didnt get nominated for aoty should have made it clear enough

Extremely desperate and cheapens her brand imo.

im so turned off by her desperate antics.

I respect her grind, as annoying as it is sometimes. I’d rather her do what she does than she do what has become the norm now, for artists to drop their albums and then dip, which is not only disappointing and not immersive for fans , but plain boring and anti-climatic. I miss the days when everyone was promoting and whoring out their music.

Why blame someone for trying? I feel like online fans reward doing nothing as a badge of honor if the album does well regardless and has made promoting too much seem desperate, which is just so nonsensical.  Promotion used to be a big part of what made past eras “eras” as we knew them.

Literally every pop girl does this now. The only difference is that Taylor doing it is a bigger event that generates actual success :rip:

Again with this thread. :rip:

I disagree, it's just been poor single choices since Reputation. Album tracks going viral and accumulating huge streams shows that the public is still interested in her and it just takes the right song. It's not Swifties making "Cruel Summer", "August" and "Don't Blame Me" into streaming hits today, it's TikTok and the general public.

I think the strategy with this LP will be to let the public decide what the hit is and then send that to radio.

Even if you combine every copy from that pic, that doesn't touch midnight's 73 versions. :deadbanana4:
