Tom Cruise was right.

Now this is just my opinion and I am in no way an expert on this but I believe depression is a thing mainly due to how society works nowadays. Naturally humans need a tight knit community to proster but what most people get nowadays is lonliness, isolation and mindless distractions like social media.

Depression is another disesase created and propagated by evil entites that dominate our world with the sole purpose of killing us.

Same goes for sleeping well, eating healthily

Lmfao, there's depression that keeps you awake at night, no matter how tired you are. And you won't be able to eat because your body rejects it. It's hell. Medication (non addictive and weed based) helped me to regain power over my body and the rest followed. Now I'm in a much better place and stopped taking them without going back to old habits.

People call Tom Cruise crazy because he's a hardcore scientologist.

Go read a book before spitting such nonsense. I hope you never get to suffer from depression.

The New Study on Serotonin and Depression Isn’t About Antidepressants

It's multipurpose and works for both, scientology doesn't believe in homosexuality :thing:

I mean usually people are depressed because there’s something bad going on. Gotta fix your life first. That said if pills work for you have at it.

I find it very galling that you're trivializing depression by saying "fix your life first". Depression is often caused by factors outside of one's control anyway, so it's very narrow-minded to assume that people who suffer from depression - or any mental illness, really - can just flip a switch and fix all the problems in their lives.

Honestly, I'm shocked that there are so many condescending posts in this thread in general. For a site that's highly diverse and LGBT-friendly, some of y'all are being really cruel when it comes to your assessments of mental illness.
