AI (Artificial Intelligence) is on the rise! According to Forbes, Robots and ai are expected to permeate our daily lives by 2025! Everyone talks about the implications this could have on several business sectors - but what about the music industry?

 

South Korea's Deep Studio Entertainment debuted a new KPOP boy group. And the catch is one of the members is an AI!

 

 

 

 

 

 

He is considered by many to be the best looking and most talented member in the group despite it being controversial! Some have even gone to the extent to point out that the AI has less processed vocals than fellow KPOP acts such as BTS, TWICE, The Stray Kids, & BLACKPINK.

 

So ATRL, would you consider stanning an AI in the future  ?? Is this the future of POP music? Which MPG/MPB will collab with the AIs first?

 

I don't think AI will ever entirely consume the creative sectors - it wouldn't be able to convincingly compose quality music or novel prose, in my opinion. So, no.

 

But I do think that AI and a good vocal synthesizer would pretty easily be able to replace the vocals for some artists whose material is basic and unchallenging and who have no part in their own creative process. It may even become a tool for experimental spaces like PC Music and hyperpop artists, which I think could lead to super cool results.

I already stanning for Hatsune Miku for a long time now. That is a program. So it wouldn't be too far off. 

I don’t think I would stan them but if they made good entertainment I would tune in.

It depends. If it's a Gorillaz type of situation where a lot of thought and creativity has been put into it, then maybe. But if its only purpose is to look pretty and churn out hits, then no.
