I EASILY would have picked these to be the 2nd and 3rd singles respectively off of E=MC2

 

Migrate in particular, the song is like crack. Her whistles and the hard-hitting beat >

The fact that she performed it on SNL but then allegedly scrapped it as a single after Perez Hilton dragged it  how 2008 (surely nowadays Perez dragging a song wouldn't lead to it getting scrapped as a single lol)

 

 

A lot of iconic moments here. The rough "bounce bounce" start vocally (at least it was quiet), T-Pain's cane literally pulling Mariah , the lipsynced "soon as we walk out the doooo" line followed by the impressive live belts ("like yoooooo") that literally stop T-Pain in his tracks (look at his expression, he's distracted af), and the "oooooooo! Migrate! BYE! *puts arm on T-Pain's shoulder, takes off sunglasses, and flips hair* hEYYY!" ending while T-Pain does some popping to the beat (the ending of the song is way better and more powerful here than in the studio version)

"[na, na na na] SLOW,

i DON'T KNOW" is absolutely infectious

 

 

and serving mid/late 2000s with the Gwen/Fergie-esque spelling ("c-r-u-i-s-e")

 

and her singing "6 baby mamas" deadass lol

 

Both really fun songs, one being a hard-hitting yet smooth electro-club bop and the other being a feel-good reggae-pop bop

Perez must of been huge at the time for the things he did to pop girls back then. I’m honesty shocked nobody has punch him for all the disgusting things he’s done to females.

Since it was Reid's decision to push Bye-Bye as the second single when Mariah was heavily pushing for Migrate.

Einstein definitely isn’t her best album but it delivered bop after bop, and for that I love it. 

Migrate should've been the first single. Her 18th #1 in the bag, followed by her 19th with TMB. It sounds super dated now, but it fit the time

Migrate was HOT at that time, bit sounds dated now
