The Antichrist is the new mayor of Riverdale and is turning the town in a non-stop factory, he became aware of the town of Riverdale after Veronica dad set off a bomb under Betty and Archie’s bed whilst they were having seggs. 
 

That ended up being a nexus point where the multiverse worlds of Riverdale and RiverVale collapse into each, Dale Jughead is the only Vale resident whom remembers his prior universe. After Vale’s Jughead sacrifices himself to save both, the bomb still goes off but it gets giving Jug, Betty and Archie (telepathy, aura reading and indestructibility) superpowers. Also partially Cheryl as well (she can control fire and temperature, because she owns red) but that’s just a natural enchancement of her skills as a witch.

 

Back to Percival (the antichrist) slowly convinces everything In town to join his cult to bring about the apocalypse, he uses overdue library books to collect “collateral” personal items on the townsfolk to put a curse on them. And part of Veronica’s curse was becoming a literal black widow who passes venom to other people via touch and kiss.

just thinking about that one of the biggest things in the show was archie having an affair with a teacher and Cheryl's twin death

 

 

i wonder what will they do in the future seasons? maybe some interstellar travel to other planets? impregnated archie cause of alien the world ending because of some giant meteor but rivardale being the only place that was saved because of some secret power, zombie apocalypse? vampires, werewolves?
