Back in the day, I had to come up with a completely different name for myself because I thought that my 'real' one sounded basic in English. Well, these days I treat speaking in different languages as an act, so it's only appropriate to have a unique name for each role.

I wish Sex Education was more British. One character lives in a trailer park, and I had to do some research on whether trailer parks are even a thing in the UK, and apparently they are for POC and elderly people? And that character is neither. I get that they were aiming for universal appeal, but Skins didn't have a problem with that despite being visibly British.

I had to watch two episodes of Sex Education for a class this year, which was my first time ever watching it and I was immediately annoyed by the fact that the only character (in the episodes) with a Northern accent was the "stupid" one. Which is kind of funny considering everyone else was talking about how "good" the representation in the show is but they were also all Southern/middle-class. **** that show low-key.

The werewolf in true blood was the only male character I don't like. Maybe because he came off cocky and was hairy but when he gets shot in the final season I was like thank God.

I'd say its representation of minorities is good, and some of them are in positions of power (relative to high school/sixth form), but it does fail to address the dynamics pertinent to the UK. You also have to suspend your disbelief in some situations as things may go too smoothly considering the setting.

Yeah, that's the impression I got - I could see some of the representation was positive, if perhaps a little too idealistic like you said, but it definitely seemed to leave class almost completely at the wayside. But at this point I expect no less from (most) British media to completely side step addressing class or tackling classism, especially considering how deeply ingrained classism is here.

I can't even focus on playing games anymore cause I want that job already so bad

ATC delays are back and worse than ever this year. 

Especially since I learned that there's an option for home office and I was always jealous of people who can work like that, for example when they are sick and can just work from home

I have to accept that I'm not perfect, I don't always align with the general consensus and I will sometimes step on someone's toes, worst of all those I've forged great relationships with. It's not the end of the world to not always see eye to eye as long as we do it cordially and with a willingness to learn from each other.

Today three of my colleagues that I've formed a good bond with (may even have considered them friends) expressed the most TRANSPHOBIC views in a conversation. I was so disgusted I put my earphones in and pretended I didn't hear but I was dying inside. Unsure how to proceed
