Been listening to Chihiro Onitsuka again a lot lately and I never knew she had so many personal struggles  Her music feels even more deep now.

Listening to some hitomi stuff I haven't touched before (namely TRAVELER, LOVE LIFE 2, Special, the b-side collection). Special, well, wasn't that special. TRAVELER is bopping so far. This single was cool:

 

 

 

The self portrait era songs are bops. I also liiiiiiive for the TRAVELER cover art alone, early 00s tacky brilliance. The album is cute too.

I didn't realize it was a cover of Miho's song. I'm checking the lists of best-selling songs by the grandmas since I wanted to incorporate their top 3 best-selling songs (along with other criteria) into the rate, and hers are basically all ballads, so she would be at a disadvantage. A shame condering the bops she served.

I'm actually not a fan of Miho's original when it comes to this song, but Kuu's version was cute for what it was and gave us a nice PV for the winter season. I do however absolutely love both ただ泣きたくなるの and 世界中の誰よりきっと. I would actually place them in my Top 5 Miho songs. Actual J-Pop classics!
