Don't get me wrong, it is great to have new music and I love some of them but...I feel like Gaga, Katy, Dua, Cardi, Nicki, Bey, Tay will all release new albums soon and we still won't have anything. It is sad.

I never really understood these comparisons because that still doesn't take away from the fact Anti was released nearly 8 years ago, and every artist have completely different career trajectories if we are going to look only at albums released. 

 

It seems like it's business as normal for FB, Savage etc so we can only hope she is back in the studio too. I severely doubt were getting anything this year, but I hope at least for an update or any indication that r9 will be coming in 2024. 

We all are tired of waiting... but what's the point of downing the mood on purpose?

I don't think she is waiting for a megahit. Like , she already has some of them at the backseat waiting. She is Rihanna a lot of writers and producers dream to have a song with Rihanna.

 

I think she just wanted to have a rest from music. And that's ok. The success of her brands, robbed time. She is very involved in her brands. But I think she thought to drop in 2019. Then in 2022 but baby RZA say hi and then 2023 and then RIOT. And be mom is her dream.

 

She feels pressure cause Anti is a really good album. Have a lot of identity. And she is on another point in her career. So I think she wants to drop something that she feels is perfect. With R9 I think Rihanna wants something with identity. 

 

Then with R10 she will want to have fun and drop bops and feel less pressure.

I don't know what her schedule is... but I feel like 2024 Q1 or Q2 is 95% guarranteed.

 

And it will be experimental... but she will be coming back with a HIT. Even if it's not her usual sound, as she usually does, coz she usually changes her style and sound everytime.

Rihanna screams burnout syndrome tbh. I have never seen someone working as hard as she did. She was releasing tons of songs from her own albums + she also had lots of features and dj collabs at the same time. She will ofcourse comeback she is still very young. Music is her priority for sure but she probably felt mentally in a horrible place. She is now enjoying her life and her music is still doing her thing. I believe we will get new music this decade but its obvious she is very tired. I’m sure a new album will come in 2 years or that she will go to the studio at least (didn’t she share a picture with Sophie in her studios?) she makes music but releasing it means lots of energy so i’m not sure if she has the courage to release it. And once she releases it she can’t just go back to sharing make up posts like that is not Rihanna. 

I'd love if Rih worked with Kaytranada on R9

Of course, I’m just saying we gotta remember that we were spoiled (back then 🥲) and a lot of artists haven’t even released as many albums as she has in their entire career

I don’t stream it as much nowadays but each time I do (or comes on my playlist) I have to leave on repeat for a moment. 

Hey yall, I was wondering if we’re getting another SxF show this year? Do we have any info on that? Don’t think she’d be on it herself anyway but just curious.

 

Also I think we shouldn’t expect any new music until at least Q4 next year… Early next year seems so optimistic, I feel like we’re gonna feel the switch once she’s in album mode.
