Judge her based on what she puts out Which is 2 songs since 2021 and Fair was not worthy of that perfectionist claim either. Only sealed the stall on this album (now presumably shelved)

Judge her based on what she puts out She actually wanted to release multiple versions of her album though. Although, I do think there is truth to the perfectionism statements and I don’t think it ever stopped her from wanting to release what she had. That was all RCA.

Normani still pops out at parties then goes back to hiding. That is weird behavior. - Anyways, back to more factual things. Normani was in the studio with Nija (writer) recently and Nija stated they finished something and will be doing more sessions. omg I’m obsessed with Nija hoping she gives Normani her own “Ease My Mind”!!! Starrah, Nija, Tommy Brown are all such a perfect team for Normani. Wish she’d actually work on that.
popularmoonlight Posted November 19, 2022 Posted November 19, 2022 The perfectionist claim was 100% a PR move to not actually talk about how hard it is to work with RCA. I thought we were on the same page about that. She obviously is a perfectionist, but RCA has def held her back in most occasions. There was no reason to not put out an EP after Motivation.
Aaliyah Kylie Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 candy paint is TOO good idk who heard that and thought "fair" should have came before. crazy.

Pretty sure it was Normani's decision. She seemed pretty heartbroken though so I am going to give her a pass for wanting Fair out.

Camilitau.u Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 I’m not even mad at delay. Shirt was teased 2 years before SZA released and still smashed

"candy paint" is too good to just sit on.

Also, Candy Paint is gonna leak in HQ any day now, there's an almost full version of it in LQ out there...

Why should I believe an "insider" when Normani and her mother wrote long paragraphs saying how much Fair to meant to her. It's obvious she wanted Fair to be released. Where'sJay also confirmed Fair was normani's decision and she loved it. He's a much more reliable insider than FTN. Yes I do know that about Candy Paint. I wish we can hear the full HQ on Spotify and Apple music but I will take what I can get.

RCA's issue is they sent it to Urban when it really should have just been sent to Urban AC and the video should have come out. Candy Paint should have followed immediately after as she hoped. Fair was supposed to be the fist of many single releases over the winter/spring and it was supposed to be harmless but they lost the plot. Edited November 21, 2022 by WheresJay
AFullMoonlight Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 (edited) Runaround leaked. There’s enough leaks for an album. Edited November 21, 2022 by AFullMoonlight
AFullMoonlight Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 (edited) Also, from my understanding the CP leak that’s being passed around is a demo. Edit: Oop found it. It’s very LQ. Edited November 21, 2022 by AFullMoonlight

Fair was supposed to be the fist of many single releases over the winter/spring and it was supposed to be harmless but they lost the plot. That sounds ridiculous and idiotic. Why did they need to release Fair first anyways? The song didn't need to come out at all especially if they wanted a hit. It was already March. I'm done trying to figure out RCA. At this point, she just needs to release music. I'm over it. It's been 5 years and I am usually extremely positive but enough is enough. @zeta Sorry for not believing you!
popularmoonlight Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Runaround is like top 3 best songs from her. It would've been perfect after Wild Side. Runaround, Wild Side, Candy Paint, Make It Hard, Fair they all sound great together. I'm depressed
zeta Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Honestly I'm scared of CP leaking in full HQ and RCA and Normani scrapping it and rescheluding the album again... or dropping Normani. Wish they would just record the music video and release it in Jan, I think that's the safest option given it's about to leak.

I think Normani would be way better independent. She should cut ties with RCA.
orange22 Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 So when do y’all think we getting our 2023 single? Runaround is lovely. It must be a Nija track, that sounds like her voice on the 2nd half.

The same insiders that want us to believe that RCA wants Normani to be a pop artist but also want us to believe RCA pushed Fair after Wild Side instead of the dozens of uptempos she has in the fault. Fair... a song that is so outside of a traditional pop song and was never even sent to pop radio. It's just not adding up. But I get why she doesn't want to take responsibility for making it a single. I would try to blame someone else too

Topaz Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 did they never record the candy paint video? Why were they even pushing to semi leak it at that one party to get fans hyped.
