Sugar-Rush Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I'm sad tbh. I thought the movie would get decent reviews, but it's been a mixed bag so far. Like I'm glad Gaga's apparently a highlight of the film, but I dunno, I wanted the whole film to be good not just the acting.
Canonical Ensembl Posted September 5 Posted September 5 12-min standing-O. Not bad for a panned bomb.

Having it as the last one actually worries me that it is not in the movie
Solar Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Yes the drags and lil meltdowns are an overreaction, this movie will showcase her growth and versatility on the eyes of Hollywood and filmmakers which is (I think) one of the main reasons why she accepted the role. I can't wait to watch it quite frankly 2

duybeeGAshantiGA Posted September 5 Posted September 5 (edited) Why yall actin' like the first movie was acclaimed? They are pretty much received quite similarly Only a few points lower, considering sequels are judged much more strictly and rarely get higher scores than the first films, I say they are pretty much equal in terms of how good they are. And I love the first movie, this one should be nice. Edited September 5 by duybeeGAshantiGA 1 4

People ended up loving it so much it grossed 1B so let's wait a bit until we start claiming the film is bad 1

Who actually feels so much emotion over pretentious critic reviews (that aren't even all that bad)? It's just so embarrassing 10

duybeeGAshantiGA Posted September 5 Posted September 5 In fact, the GP dont care much about reviews as long as the movie has good WORD OF MOUTH. The first one was a success because good WoM. So if the film is actually great, it will spread good WoM by itself.

ineedboxinggloves Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Why are we even being so negative? Look at this handsome hunk who was at the same screening as Gaga and loved it. We should post more reviews of people saying they loved it 3

It's just so embarrassing Oh, I'm sorry for having the nerve to vent a little in a thread about my fave even though quite a few other people have done the same thing and not received such harsh replies. Never mind the fact that I've been defending her in the other threads all day against the usual trolls and simply wanted a little empathy. Now I remember why I don't like coming here; the way some of y'all treat anyone who isn't part of the usual posters clique is discouraging. In the future I simply won't bother. 3

My post goes to anyone who has such a weird emotional attachment to Gaga that something like this would actually affect their mood. You were just the last straw in my annoyance about it, but you're obviously not the only one The point is… you can't let these things affect you. It only matters what you think of the movie. And just because the reviews are mixed (and I use that term loosely considering it's fresh on RT right now and got off to a better start than the first movie did) doesn't mean it's a bad movie or that it can't be enjoyed.
MonsterTown Posted September 5 Posted September 5 re-watching this, what a serve, what a star...literally we have to touch some grass no one outside stans care about critics that much and joker 1 GP proved that already!
