Sannie Posted May 28 Posted May 28 It makes sense to put the album out a little before Joker so she can ride two waves at once. Throwback to when Joanne won solely based on her name being so big due to ASIB. Dark Moon Shadow AOTY thanks to JOKER!
Jessie Posted May 28 Posted May 28 The way I was at peace with the concert special being the last popstar related project before J:FaD and here we are with a whole ass lead snippet teaser! We know the theme and potential imagery (the memes already kii), title length and our first real taste of the kind of looks she has been prepping. AND I got to see the trailer in full IMAX glory — the last to be shown and that ratio aspect switch — on Monday in a packed screening for that cinematic buzz (thank you Furiosa). We are so back 2

TheOrangeTree Posted May 28 Posted May 28 (edited) Another day of being fooled by rumors and enigmatic phrases from insiders here. I can only blame myself for being so stupid to believe it every time. Another deception. Anyways, I don't understand why gaga doesn't use her platform to talk about what's happening in Palestine. Of course there's no obligation to do so, but when it : https://x.com/elwashell/status/1795486242450059386 It's a shame not to talk about it when you can have a huge impact... Maybe she's afraid that her interview, in which she talks about what a wonderful country Israel is, will come out of the archives. Edited May 28 by TheOrangeTree 2 2

It's actually pretty obvious why she won't say anything and why most celebrities won't, so you'd might as well get used to it. 3
hausofbryan Posted May 28 Posted May 28 And no, Lady Gaga isn't having a huge impact on Middle East policy/relations even if she posted every day. Let's be real. 2
TheOrangeTree Posted May 28 Posted May 28 (edited) Saying nothing is worse, and her silence is eloquent and gives an idea of these opinions unfortunately. We're talking genocide. It's a pity that some people here think that using her pop star platform is useless, because she won't have as big an impact as Ariana Grande or Biden. Anyways. I'm not here to be polemical, I'm just sad that my pop star who wasn't afraid to speak up has shut up. Edited May 28 by TheOrangeTree 3

Or she has complicated views on the Middle East like millions of (or billions) of people do and refuses to be baited into a culture where everyone is forced into black and white positions. 7

Literally everyone knows bout what's going on in Palestine, what would change if Gaga speaks it on her social media platform. 1

Bhabylon Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Gaga's in the Biden cabinet. If anything, she should be feeling more obligated to speak out against the genocide 2

The only reason why celebs are not speaking up because it's smart from the PR perspective. Don't kid yourself it's anything else. And that's completely fine, we should stop looking at celebrities as our role models, thus not expect them to be politically involved. Just entertain us and we call it a day

This culture of shaming people into public statements is silly and doesn't actually lead to any change. 7
hausofbryan Posted May 28 Posted May 28 (edited) Even in the last page, there was an implication that Gaga shouldn't have said Israel is a beautiful country. That's already forcing her into a box, where she can't say it's a beautiful country while also believing their government is conducting war crimes against the will of millions of Israelis themselves. It just validates to me that she shouldn't say anything publicly.. Edited May 28 by hausofbryan 1
