What makes me think she's looking to release in 2024 is that she's been pretty explicit about the fact that she's writing/making music. Even though she teased Chromatica out a year, she's been really hitting us over the head with mentions of "music" and "pop". She really hasn't been this open about writing music since BTW/ARTPOP.

Gargoyle is really my most toxic relationship ever. One instagram post and I'm all hyped up, not even a music tease, not even a video saying the message, just a picture and some text. 

 

On the other hand, I'm so happy she's in a good place right now.

I do not necessarily disagree as she has some gems in her early work, but a lot of her work with BTW and ARTPOP especially ventured into "Gaga metaphors that only make sense to Gaga and her fans," which is not a bad thing per se, but it does make it hard to "connect" from an outside point of view.

 

She is and has always been a fantastic songwriter, I just think she has been able to hone in on that particular craft since 2016.

Oh I know, she has always been an amazing and clever songwriter, I'm just saying that even if I don't vibe with Chromatica (mainly because of the production) I can recognize that it has some of her best lyrics, but I'm not putting down her past work.
