Cuff It has fallen off so bad in streams (still held up better than Break My Soul though so there's that). CIL currently outstreams it 1-2 days of the week and with the former losing every week it should become permanent soon :deadbanana4:

Real hive doesn’t even listen to crazy in love original. It’s so bland and quiet compared to the live versions. She does need to hire a new person to master her music. Can she not hear what we hear? She’s been doing music so long maybe she does suffer from hearing loss, that could be why her vision is so good. When you lose one of your five senses your others become stronger.

im glad some of my other faves are popping out of their dungeons between now and the film because otherwise this (love) drought would be so annoying

I have a feeling she will cut all non Renny songs on the movie(maybe keep a few), it's never marketed as a concert movie - it will be all Renny performances, music videos(Nadia Lee Cohen stuff) and other footage i think.

Maybe there is a reason she performed the album in order on the tour too.

I think there’s footage of the opening act and crazy in love in the trailer just thinking off the top of my head. We have no idea wtf she doing with this movie

I really do kinda think the visuals are scrapped. We're almost in 2024.  :gaycatx:

The blue ivy portion and Megan portion all happen during non renny songs. It will be the full show, minus the interludes. Think Homecoming. Instead of interludes she shows BTS footage. That’s it.

the songs are performed in order because the concert tells a narrative, one that I’m pretty sure mirrors the visual film. Whether or not we’ll ever see that film is unknown.

I think we all have pinpointed to where her streams fell, lemonade era. Her re-currents are worrisome but she doesn't care, so there's nothing we can do.

Being upset about the lack of promo is so tedious at this point. There must be something else to say, and if there is not, why repeat something what's been said for nearly a decade now? It's about time to move on from expecting her to be T*ylor Sw*ft and just let her be Beyoncé. She's going to keep doing the least, and maybe even increasingly do less. Or she's going to do silly lil Parkwood-account-only activations that only reach the true fans. And she's going to do things that don't maximize and maybe even minimize her commercial results. We know this.

For all the marketing geniuses in the stanbase, you'd think it'd be more obvious to people that what she's doing is turning herself into a "iykyk" kind of artist, straddling culture as both a mainstream and a cult figure. Her work is being treated more like a luxury commodity than a mass produced product. It's why there's that much more secrecy to it, exclusivity, less of a general push, and often a higher price point. She's not coming for the GP, even if she may market some things to them. And the result does have importance because it's made her into exactly the kind of figure that pushed her into legend hood while still in her artistic heyday.

Even if she retired in 2011, she'd have done enough to be regarded a legend, and indeed had achieved more insofar as commercial stats than many legends. Everything else is commercial bonus points, but most importantly, it is legacy-building for her as an artist. She could try to have both, but instead she's focused on one. And as a fan, all I truly care about is quality. The success of RENAISSANCE was a cherry-on-top, but did not make the era so special to me. It's the music itself that has mattered most.

[this isn't really directed to anyone in particular, and is mainly inspired by some Twitter discourse too]

Twitter hive finally waking up?

I still believe that Spotify hates her because just yesterday I played a Beyoncé mix and there were only 3 or 4 Beyoncé songs played in 30+ minutes (a remix of naughty girl, partition, can’t even remember what else :deadbanana4:) Instead a got a bunch of Aaliyah, Janelle Monae and some randoms.

Their algorithm doesn’t favor her at all.

I just hope she doesn’t go into hiding until 2025. Do we even have any idea where she’s been since the tour ended? Surely she is still not over-editing the movie

Also if they are going to scrap the videos, they should release the one they are the happiest with with a link to buy tickets. Idk why they think they should release everything at the same

this is exactly what I was broadly replying to in my comment above.

This take to me seems very foolish and perhaps doesn't even suggest they know much about Beyoncé since 2013...her desires, her motivations, her moves...

"She doesn't market to the general public". What a brilliant observation! I wonder how they came up with that? Maybe when she surprise dropped an album in the middle of the night without any notice or promo a decade ago? Or when the following year she quietly uploaded a Nicki remix to SoundCloud and not for sale? Or when she debuted Lemonade on a television network you need to pay to have, or when she didn't put Lemonade (her most celebrated work to date) on streaming for three years? Or was it when she announced her first solo single in 6 years via an IG bio? When she released 0 music videos and did 0 performances for nearly a year (and still hasn't if we aren't including her private tour as a performance)...

My problem with these takes is it doesn't figure what she's TRYING to do, it just counts up what she's NOT doing and faults her for it. It presumes Parkwood either doesn't know how to research, doesn't know what other people are doing successfully to access the GP, or even what Beyoncé herself has done in the past to do so, and instead assumes Parkwood thinks they are reaching the GP. Not liking Parkwood's choices is one thing. But marketing doesn't always need to mean reaching for the GP. What if...*gasp* she intends to only market to her super fans?

OOP.. I think you may be on to something and it's not only limited to spotify. I was listening to her station on pandora and I barely heard any of her music.

It's so funny how *a**o* **i** will make an exponentially bigger bag than Neck's Dubai paycheck, effortlessly, simply by releasing music-related content for her fans' consumption instead of expired Pantene or repackaged Victoria's Secret body spray.

Like that girl didn't even need to go out of her way (such as learning a whole new routine to perform only once at a glorified ribbon-cutting for the 1% in an anti-LGBTQ slave-built city-state) to get her bag. She just hired a competent team to film and edit and performance she was already going to give, and said here you go fans eat good.

Not that hard.

She has the current highest-selling female tour of all time with basically a single image as promo.

At this point, she doesn't seem particularly desperate to earn money. The Hive will say "yes she does" because she does stuff like sell an expensive perfume, but will also complain how she hasn't promoted or even mentioned it yet.

I think as much, if not more, as she loves earning money, she loves creating. If she was worried about the way things sell, then I'd assume she'd actually do something to sell them other than letting each projects' associated channels do all the marketing, and do little, at that.

Yes, we need to focus on the important things.

I don't care if we get the visuals anymore. I'd rather get new music. Videos for songs that came out a year and a half ago don't really intrigue me.

Honestly as tedious as that may be, it's more of a rewarding conversation than complaining about Parkwood not promoting.
