In here was an absolute mess over this alleged Dubai concert, I won’t get into the politics of that.

Anyhow in regards to how this era is going, it could be better from a fan experience. I became after the B’Day era finished. IASF is the first era I kept up with everything and it remains the most exciting era to me. Despite it being her worst album, although that’s definitely not what I said at the time, it was fun. 4 was also fun to follow, not so much for the charts. BEYONCÉ/Lemonade were fun in their own right due to the BTS, surprise album, performances, tour etc.

You’ve heard her comment on how she’s sensitive about her art, gets nervous performing songs for the first time and has very old school ideology. It seems as though her ideal is for fans to focus on what she puts out, embrace her when she makes herself accessible and let her live her life otherwise. Unfortunately, for her we’re not in the times of Nina Simone when the outlets for promotion were limited to radio/newspaper and celebrities weren’t so accessible.

Renaissance… I think the ‘plan’ is in the title. While I don’t think everything has gone exactly to plan, I do believe she is doing the opposite of BEYONCÉ/Lemonade. Taking a more The Gift/BIK route, which hopefully isn’t delayed as long. With the way the industry is, she doesn’t need the album to smash right out the bat but there’s opportunity to revive and maintain. If a song from 1985 can smash, I think it’s fair to say is never really over.

If it’s a 3 solo studio album project, her being absent could (& I think will) work in her favour in the long run. I suspect the albums will come within 12/18 months of each other, during the tour, to have each in 3 Grammy voting periods.

Personally if it’s not 3 albums, I’ll riot. A documentary, tour etc  is not a 3 part project ‘recording over…’ however many years and maybe I’m being greedy but a film should be an accompaniment not part of the 3 part project. We’ll get performances on tour, I just want ‘an abundance of music’

The Brit Awards have been done wrong for way too long. It's one of her most loyal markets and she's barely done a thing outside of expensive tours. They deserve something big next year.

I ate the XO performance up because she looked so good and I was young and starstruck by everything she did, but she can do so much better.

I don't know why, but I've always felt like it was ACT I: Renaissance and ACT II: Rodeo (?) followed by the documentary that tracked the progress of both albums.

Talk about the upcoming tour babe, not OTR.

But why would Stade not be an option? That was the point the user was making.

btw in case y'all haven't realized there's inevitably gonna be some controversy when the visuals come out.

Between Break My Soul and Church Girl she's gonna serve BLASPHEMY

She's gonna turn the church into a dancefloor/night club with a twerkfest.

MTE. I been screaming this. Both scenarios are possibilities (3 albums vs 3 components) and fans as well as the GP will gobble up which ever it ultimately is.

But I personally will be pissed if it's the 1 part album, 1 part visuals, and 1 part tour / doc setup.

Innovation and forward-thinking has been the name of her game since ST and there is nothing inherently "new" or progressive with that. The "acts" would essentially be vanity packaging for the same ol', same ol'. Almost every Beyonce era (arguably even before ST) is comprised of that: album, major visual component, and tour/doc.

So yeah, she needs to be coming with something...unique.

That would be a slay.

I dunno why (maybe it's the wildness of the current predicament), but I'm struggling to commit to believing that three separate albums make up this era. Whereas two albums and a doc is a really easily sellable concept.

I can already see the "storyline" of the doc: "I was working on a body of work. Entrenched in x sound that means a lot to me, we were gearing up to release around my 40th, and then I heard this Dance beat and what you know as Renaissance was born. I still love the first project and a lot of the themes are similar....letting go, freedom, expression...so not only am I releasing both but I'm doing a dual film too".

Come to think of it, the concept works for a three album project too. But two LPs + a combined visual + a doc detailing the process seems more realistic and like a more management load. Creatively and logistically.

Nope, my suspicion was that someone booked it before her. But it may also be a cheaper venue or have more facilities as it's newer

BMS leading into the BMS Queens Remix with her Vogueing would EASILY destroy social media.

And it would destroy my Sunday in the same breath

I completely forgot/blocked out that rumor of Act 3 being a Jay collab album:gaycat6: it just sounds too evil to be true but if one thing this “era” has taught me, anything is possible:gaycat6:

I think yall are doing BMS wrong. Its one of those songs that would benefit the most from a live performance. The intro alone is iconic, its uplifting and she could totally play off a Disco Diva that commands the disco floor. Add a sickening choreo for it + live instrumentalizations that Enhancer the song in typical Bey fashion + a dance break and it can easily match the hype Crazy in Love generates

Also, seeing how a Madge song recently went viral, its also a good opportunity to make use of that wave and incorporate the Queens Remix just for that sake

Chasing virality is a losing game, though. That Madonna song going viral was a fluke, it's not because people are suddenly salivating for new Madonna material.

And that's no disrespect to her, just the truth.

Let's be real, these children do not know that song is by Madonna and if they did they wouldn't touch it :deadbanana4: I say this as a hardcore Madonna stan

The Queens Remix is not a track that needs a live performance imo. As a hybrid stan I was excited about it for a week, but in hindsight it sounds like the rush job it most definitely was. It takes two dance songs and makes them undanceable. Could've been a BANGER mashup but oh well, just another thorn on the Renaissance rose!

Why would she call it this way… and Renaissance 1 was not called Summer Renaissance unless referring to Summer Renaissance song ?

It's a Christmas card.

They definitely made that up.

Maybe there are songs on each act called such but act 1 is just RENAISSANCE.

These aren’t last minute bookings. For the UK, it’s either going to be Tottenham or Twickenham which is even bigger. Tottenham just recently re-opened and they're looking for big artists to use their stadium. And France was always La Défense. None of this is finalised and we’re on our break right now, so we could come back to the plan being done and ready with another announcement date ready.

Is San Siro still in the cards? Rome (Olimpico) was given away by the stadium’s team, whereas about San Siro it’s almost been a 3 years talk lol.

I was at La Defense soon after it opened and I hated it. They hadn't finished it yet, iirc the escalators weren't even installed. Everything was hard bare concrete and steel, and before the show started it felt like we were all sitting under a million bare light bulbs with how bright and blinding the arena lights were.

EDIT: This has nothing whatsoever to do with Beyonce I'm just a curmudgeon dd

It's so annoying when people purposefully crop out key context on Twitter just to get engagement. :rip:
