Y’all aren’t spilling tea about the doc so I guess she didn’t say much about Solange breaking her knee or say anything interesting about her home life. Sigh

I’m so pissed I bought this damn ticket I don’t want to even go until the weekend. I’m sleepy. I may skip out. I checked my theater and it’s packed like sardines except the first 2 rows. I’m not  tryna be around a bunch of loud funky hive and have to go to work the next morning.

I do not like that song at all ugh. Why the hell did they even attempt to label that “rocky” sounding unless they meant the movie rocky. Not to sound conservative but I’m just not a fan of explicit yonce. Leave those curse words to Nicki. Sorry to be negative hive today.

Does the Thique bass sound as THIQUE as in the actual concert?

Not her yelling at the attendees to gtfo after the film ends

Well :suburban:

In my opinion it is her best documentary film and contains her best concert footage; the technical quality and the creative content of that footage is outstanding.

It is not her best concert film. The documentary digressions are too many and too long, and they hinder the live show’s propulsion. Go into it like it’s a tour documentary, not a concert film. The timing of some of the cuts from performance to BTS is baffling. There is without a doubt enough documentary footage for another whole film(s), as it should have been. Specifically I was disappointed that the exhilarating vogue ball was cut from its place, moved far forward and reduced to a few short excerpts within a documentary break. To me that was the heart of the show and I miss it hugely. Other than my qualms with the questionable editing (including the weirdly abrupt start and finish) I say that this film is the most valuable record of one of the greatest musical artists and performers of all time at the peak of her creativity, prowess, and humanity. You come away having felt you’ve met a complete, satisfied artist and woman who has found what she’s searched for. She is so happy. That’s mother.

Just the opening RENAISSANCE one but it’s amended. The names of the interludes are shown but thats generally where the BTS footage comes in to give a sense of context to everything we see and get a better understanding of her vision/inspiration

Welp I was really looking forward to see the only crumbs of the Heated, Pure/Honey and Break My Soul music videos Opulence and Anointed in HQ.

THIS IS WHAT I WANNA SEE!

the thoughts, not that she mangled one of my favorite moments of the show

but aaaaah even with some apparently questionable choices in editing and pacing, im actually more excited to see it this weekend than when she dropped the trailer in the stadium :jonny3:

The transition into Cozy btw. I’ve never known peace like I did in that moment. I was well.

The editing is too much at times and Bey obviously had a lot to say but it takess so much away from the concert experience. I feel like some of it should have been put on Netflix but the film should have been only the full concert.

The sound is crazy, you can feel it in your seat. I think the songs sound better than in the concert, but I also feel like they may have added extra instrumentation in some parts.

It was never going to be a full concert and this conversation has been exhausted, no shade btw.  It was clear what she wanted to do and it was not changing. Everyone i know that saw it loved it..

My cinema had good sound and there were a few very involving effects. Energy had a certain instrumentation panning left to right and back again, I was levitating, and Summer Renaissance starts from behind you at the back of the theater and expands to the front to surround you.
