I'm very interested in the concept she will come up for her next album now that nothing major is really happening to her life.

I’m only a year & a half older than Olivia but like she’s just not for me but Dua, Billie etc aren’t either. If Doja counts as a pop star then she’s the only one keeping me fed atm

This gives her a chance to get inspired, discover new things, and I know her being a wife will have a high influence on the next project. She has a different glow now. Now if she returns with AG7 being another trendy pop/trap record then she deserves the lashings.

Its noticeable Ariana isn’t around much like how Rihanna has that effect on the prev MPG gen. Tbh I find more underground/indie R&B artists entertaining vs BBH100 chart toppers during Ari’s break.
R.E.M. Posted July 19, 2022 Author Posted July 19, 2022 Not too much on the new girls lmao y'all sound like boomers - there are some gems worth stanning (e.g., Doja, Chloe, Doechii) I think the problem is that My Little Pony occupies such a specific lane (i.e., powerhouse vocalist that make soulful/flavourful pop music) no one really comes close to filling the gap she left behind.
Gerardo Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 This base is a mess what worries me the most is that there’s not a guarantee that Wicked will be this huge acclaimed/blockbuster movie, the last movie musical I recall was Cats and we all know how that ended up going….. if she really takes her last two years of her twenties or even more time in making a movie that ends up being a panned flop…… she really should’ve released AG7 in early 2022 even with a boring era like positions cause staying away from the music scene since late 2021 till 2024-25 isn’t a great idea, she should release some droplets, DJ collabs, soundtrack singles….. However I have hope Wicked will still be somewhat very successful, Cynthia is amazingly talented, the movie has been on production for a long time and everybody involved in it seems very passionate about it, Universal will also most likely promote it a lot so there’s that anyways, despite this essay I still think we’re being really negative, her last album isn’t even 2 years old yet and she’s still relevant, let’s let her take her time with Wicked
Jjang Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 3 months rehearsals for Wicked They're planning something epic. Yall are losing sight of how big this potentially can be for her and for her brand / legacy. She will release an album in 2023. Chill.
wantedyoutogrow Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 the s.h.i.t. beauty era is coming to an end OMG!

Wicked can either be a star vehicle for her leading into a multifaceted career or a complete disaster. I never saw Wicked so I'm unfamiliar with the entire story. Is it a musical that will resonate with the GP who aren't particularly fans of musicals? Hope it's more in line with the success of the movie versions of Hairspray and Mamma Mia and less like Cats please lol. I know it's one of the most successful Broadway shows of all time but that doesn't always translate into film success. I don't think her approaching her 30's is going to be much of an issue though. She doesn't present has someone that is out of touch with gen z and youth culture. Flopping in your 30's was mostly because of radio and now with streaming radio is has less influence than ever before. Taylor is in her thirties and doing better than ever even if radio doesn't play her as much as they once did. As long as Ariana doesn't abandon her audience and release boring AC music for AG7 she should maintain her success.
izzy™ Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 I just wish she would release a stand alone single or do another feature with a big artist. I can wait for an album a little longer.

I really can't see it not being successful.

She needs her Selena Taki Taki level serve on a UK pop collab idk!

I'm concerned with all the weight she's lost between 2018 and now. This is the skinniest she's been since My Everything I do think she's had some work done (brow lift, buccal fat removal) but the differences are really exacerbated by the weight gain and how she wears her makeup now.
