Yes, we should really lower them for her.  She is 15 years into her career.  Expecting her to achieve similar or more than what she did in her prime is unrealistic.  A #1 at this point of her career is impressive, let alone charting for 20 weeks.

Some people are hypocrites but he is right. With this career time few artists manage to spend 20 weeks in the hot 100 with a single #1.

The last studio song released by gaga to chart longer than 20 weeks was released in 2013(Applause).

Even the "smash hit" rain on me with ariana couldn't do it.

The standards...yeah

I guess this is what you tried to say. Let me make it easier for you and correct it.

“At this point of her career charting for 20 weeks is impressive, let alone a #1.”

I see you were trying to do something but it didn’t work out the way you’d hoped for.
And please, next time you post, just make sure your sentences make some sense and do not defy logic. :)
PS, what I’ve learned about Taylor Swift is to never underestimate or undervalue her. She’s still a strong force to be reckoned with and with a more pop-leaning material, I’m convinced she could snatch some more Billboard-number-one hits with actual longevity. She doesn’t need to do it anymore.

15 years into her career and she’s already established herself as a legend. She’s in a league of her own and It would be highly appreciated if the naysayers would stay in their lane :chick1: :heart2:

The link that you have provided supports my usage of the term, so you are the one who were actually trying to do something but failed, I fear.

"Let alone" is used to highlight the least probable outcome of something that you said before it.

In other words, it implies that the second statement is of a greater degree than the first statement.

For example,

"He could not lift 100 kg, let alone 200 kg"
"She cannot buy a dress, let alone a house"

Since this thread is about Willow charting for more weeks than expected, its longevity is the least probable factor / a greater degree than its peak.

Therefore, I stand corrected in saying that it being #1 is impressive, let alone charting for 20 weeks.

So please, next time you post, just make sure you understand the context of the conversation before you decide to be a condescending grammar nazi.

Spelling is fun!

That's actually impressive and it did better than Cardigan. Radio never gave both songs a chance so to make it twenty weeks in the chart is outstanding.

I'm a LM but this killed me

OT: amazing run for a song that was rejected on pop radio and was not heavily pushed

Imagine debuting at #1 and remaining on the chart for charting for 4 months after. No wonder the girls are threatened. :clap3:
