I was told even crossing 50k was a struggle for A listers now.

On one hand, this is pretty disappointing considering it’s quite a bit lower than initial forecasts + definitely lower than what everyone predicted. On the other hand, the pure sales show that the new bundles rule doesn’t mean anything for album sales - people who can sell will still do so. So congrats to them

I heard the album was sold for like $50 so this is decent. However, it just shows that their fanbase just buys the same song/album over and over again, and the moment the music gets expensive the numbers fall dramatically. They're still pulling numbers regardless so good for them 

If 150k of those sales are physical that's $7.2m revenue

Megan hasn’t crossed over to the level that Cardi has or Nicki at her peak. The fact that she’s apparently trailing BTS by a wide margin proves that tbh.

I think short comeback term is the reason why the numbers are lower than we expected

At least BE (a mini album/EP only 7 song) with $50 outsold their latest Mini album: MOTS: persona 

 

their next full album and with reguler price will break MOTS:7 sales for sure 

I can't believe they're selling an 8 track album for $50 

I don't like BTS but if they shifted an album at 50 dollars, pretty decent for them

I remember all their fan bases on Twitter were aiming for 700K debut lol they couldn't even reach their previous album numbers, from ~400K to ~200K 

 

 

Also how hungry they are for money, for making an album with 7 songs worth $50!?!? Milk them fans till they broke I guess.

I mean sure, but usually they do predictions for all of the new releases. I wasn’t expecting her to be #1 but I was still expecting a prediction

yeah I’m hoping she debuts at #2

considering the album costs $50, this is good. also it proves that the bundles rules don’t affect pure sales and whoever moves physical units, is gonna do it regardless of bundles or not. so that’s good!

Did their last album have merch bundles cause that's one considerable drop, even more so after Dynamite.
