This song is actually not patriotic at all. It's about a guy drafted to fight a war (Vietnam) and forced to kill people he doesn't want to hurt.  I'm afraid if I say some of the lingo from the song I'll trigger a WP.  But listen to it and read the lyrics.  

 

 

John Mellencamp's Pink Houses is also not patriotic. The chorus says so sarcastically, but listen to the lyrics.  Mellencamp isn't anti-American either.  But, he's a Democrat from a small town in Indiana from a family of farmers.  No, I'm not saying that is bad, just to help you get the picture of his . But, given his look on the US, little "Pink Houses" is more of a facade to the rest of the world than the truth be told.

 

 

And, in case you didn't know it, Old Town Road now has a discount on the two listed versions.  I assume Diplo has a discount, but it's pushed down by the 04 July songs.  You said he once had a profile on here.  So, yes, he does know how to play the game!

Okay. OTR is now 2/47/83/151, with all 4 versions discounted. It'll be interesting to see how the dust settles and the newest songs start to drop. OTR will probably get back to #1 with the Cyrus remix, but not with the lead it had before. BG will take the lead combined, as it already at 0.9739. So, OTR w/Cyrus takes back #1, but the other 3 versions aren't making up the difference b/t it and BG's 2 versions.

OK, OTR 1/59/73/135 I-Tunes, Kworb has Spotify and Apple Music except for 3rd version @ #202, YT #1 by 5:3 lead. Maybe OTR can get to 2 MM. I had reserved that for Adele, but Lil Nas X could get there now as well.

Wow! The Elish/Bieber BG collab is down to #35 on ITunes.

Okay. Lil Nas X has just now released YET ANOTHER OTR Remix! "Seoul Town Road," with BTS, and it's up to #32 on the live ITunes chart. This could be for week 18. He knows how to work the charts, that's for sure.

Lizzo is about to top iTunes soon.

I think that Lil Nas X was trying to get the KPop remix to overtake the main remix. He has KPop discounted but the other remixes are back to full price. I don't think that has worked. So all 5 now versions will probably be back to the 69 cents discount sooner than later.

I'm really hoping OTR can get past 1.5 MM in sales. I think he wants 2 MM, but getting to and past 1.5 MM is taking increasingly longer to reach.
