probably a side effect of digital sales starting to dip to 2005 levels, making itunes more volatile. we had two songs on kworb with 1.0000 a few weeks ago, which is basically sign #1 of a dying itunes market in a country. other signs to look for are mass ties across the chart (ie a lot of songs with the same decimals) and a huge "0.0000"/"---" section

Maybe you misunderstood I'm not talking about simply reaching #1 on itunes, Im talking about 4 different songs being the best seller of the week, and the last album that did that was 1989

Taylor didn't put the album up for streaming the first 3 weeks 

So doesn't seem like she is that worried about needing to happen on on-demand streaming. 

 

But I agree that not connecting with the GP is interesting. There are reasons and explanations and I don't think it matters much in the long run, but it's certainly interesting. Thought End Game would do better there, but that's clearly not the case
