Girl, no one is safe, not even Lorde  

I think we're just reaching a point where Urban is taking over like it did in early 2000s (EDM is still making its way back after dying in like 2010 as well). Which is why Rihanna is still excelling. She's versatile and can do pop, EDM, urban, etc. Beyonce too. All the pop girls who rely too much on solely pop music will suffer as the interest in pop girls is declining. Taylor has a large and dedicated fanbase, but I don't think her next era will be anything like 1989 either unless she switches it up. 

 

I think Lorde is fine as she is like pop/alternative. I think Katy will truly suffer the most as she's the most pure pop star we have. She needs to go back to rock/pop because her career will fizzle out if she continues on this pure pop thing she's been on since Teenage Dream
