He's still disliked but NOTHING like in 2014 where he was the most hated on celebrity so to go from that to 5#1s in a span of 2-3 years is pretty impressive. 

 

Everyone wrote him off before Purpose. No one thought he would be able to transition out of his teen bop years.

Galway Girl already has a video and I don't think it would catch on in the US. 

 

I think it's time he releases something completely fresh like Perfect, which is the highest-streamed album track and still Top 200 on itunes. It's been begging for release since March and with Fall coming it would be the perfect time.

If it could get to 3.5 M downloads, with its amazing streaming, Despacito could actually go Diamond. But Diamond would require a VERY slow descent in both sales and streaming.

It has NO chance in hell to reach 3.5M... It will get to 3M and after a LONG time and with a lot of luck... After next week, it will start selling under 100k.
