I hate that everyone credits Despacito as a Bieber song. Yeah, yeah his remix made it a smash (in US) but he just sings a verse and he doesn't even know what he's saying. Like, it's a great song and he deserves no credit for the artistry of it. Yet I see everyone everywhere refer to it as a Bieber song.

I get it. But it still bothers me.

There are other artists who will have a #1 hit despite having zero creative input and just putting their voice on something they otherwise had nothing to do with.

Yeah, but how many songs with other artists as lead vocalists get credited to the featured artist predominantly?

Like I said, I get it considering the circumstances. I just get slightly bothered by all the articles mostly crediting Bieber and everyone shouting he's the king and barely even mentioning Luis Fonsi or Daddy Yankee. Both of whom are streaming giants.

The fact is the song wouldn't have been #1 in the US without Bieber, even though the song was slaying WW. That's the difference.

How many songs have a featured artist with a bunch of hits and lead artists who otherwise have never gone T20?

The original Despacito didn't go T40 without Bieber I believe.

Off the top of my head, locked away?

A special edition of "One Last Time" is now on iTunes with all proceeds going to British Red Cross! The song has a banner and is the #1 song on Hot Tracks :heart2:

Was there any song ever discounted so soon after release? I don't think so.

The fact that it's 2 weeks old and discounted and is #255 on iTunes :rip: I like Nick but this is a mess.

I don't think GP is here for Nick. His first era was probably his peak which is sad.

Strip that down only being at 35 during it's video release.  Yikes
