  1. It will never happen and I don't wish that on anybody, that's literally what killed him
  2. Not at all what makes an artist a legend is a mix of commercial success, longevity and. MOST IMPORTANTLY cultural impact Without impact on music they just end up being icons and not legends
  3. The new generation doesn't even know who she is like it's BEEN over
  4. I wasnt there when she peaked but it's clear to me her music is kind of forgotten unfortunately, especially outside of the US i would argue It's sad to know that her legacy has been erased because of one mistake
  5. I mean if I sang like her i would never go up on the stage again lol
  6. Well first they're not as famous as they are Then I'd say it's mainly because they never had the impact/influence MJ and the Beatles had
  7. They're ridiculous, I'm pretty sure the GP barely knows crazy in love and halo let alone the others
  8. You took time to write under my topic too LOL says a lot And "doesn't change the fact" the hell you talking about what kind of fact is that??? lol show the numbers like I did then come back talking about facts
  9. I don't need to, the GP listens to them daily anyways lol
  10. "Baseless opinion" meanwhile I'm just proving it with numbers LOL
  11. You spending so much time outside, you should probably stay inside, open a book and learn how to read cuz that's exactly what I said I literally mentioned Crazy in love
  12. It might be true, Spotify streams ain't the only metric but it's an example and it shows a great difference compared to other artists of her generation or close to her generation is it hard to admit that the GP today just doesn't listen to her music ? Crazy in love really seems to be the only people still care about in 2025
  13. Well why don't they listen to them before and after the show then lol
  14. Talking about having your own life and legacy meanwhile you're also on atrl taking time to write under my topic LOL
  15. What does that have to do with her having classics? so ok they went number one but are people even listening to those songs anymore ?
  16. Well she benefits off playlists just like every other artist. Tidal was 10 years ago by the way, she had time to adapt, yet she still has arguably low numbers. What does touring even have to do with having classic songs ? She's a big name in the industry we know that, but I'm saying if people aren't listening to her songs anymore, are they really classics ?
  17. Well she has a loyal fan base for sure and she 's a big name too, but her music is quite forgotten around the GP and numbers speak for themselves
  18. I agree on crazy in love, maybe halo but singles ladies has ridiculously low numbers. Shows that the GP doesn't care about it anymore so is it really a classic or was it just a huge influential song at its time ?
  19. In today's day and age the best way to determine if a song is a classic and if it has stood the test of time is through streaming. It shows that these songs are still relevant around the GP (and especially new generations). For instance, we can see it in legacy artists such as MJ, Queen, the Beatles etc However, Beyoncé's biggest songs have very modest/low streaming numbers for someone who is regarded as a legend. Legends are supposed to have timeless music but her songs and albums don't seem to be relevant anymore. Example, on Spotify, her most streamed songs daily are: 1. crazy in love : 707k 2. Telephone: 678k 3. Halo: 535k 4. irreplaceable: 379k 5. If I were a boy : 301k In comparison, other big artists who debuted "around her time" (and with no new music) Britney Spears 1. Gimme more: 935k 2. Toxic : 895k 3. Baby one more time : 807k 4. Oops I did it again : 663k Rihanna 1. Where have you been : 1,470M 2. Don't stop the music : 1,479M 3. We found love : 1.283M 4. Umbrella : 1,244M Is it safe to say she only has one classic (objectively Crazy in love) ?
  20. Biggest definitely Michael Jackson Best I'd say Lauryn Hill
  21. It's pretty recent actually and the gap is still minimal but in a few years the gap will be bigger I believe and more people will talk about it
  22. I agree tbh but the fact that Taylor is in the streaming era and still pulling amazing pure sales numbers is quite impressive. She's huge and still in her peak, I believe that in less than 15 years she'll be objectively considered to be the biggest female artist in history
