Lorde in absolute tears sparks concern
A lot of people calling this attention-seeking as if needing attention is some kind of sin. If people engage in attention-seeking like this, when they are distressed, then they probably do need some valid attention and support. Is this the right way to do it? No, but not everyone knows how to ask for help, or how to talk about what's hurting them. So they end up doing things like this. I hope those close to her reach out to her.

Lady Gaga
Anyone who didn't like the Zombieboy performance needs to locate a sense of humor. One of Gaga's great strengths as a performer is not being afraid to get silly and fun. So many other pop performers begin and end with 'look how cool and sexy I am'. I will forever be grateful that Gaga has much more emotional range in her shows.

Lady Gaga
1st listen: Disease - 9/10, Almost perfect it just has one lyric that I don't like "lay you down like 1 2 3", it just bugs me. Abra - 10/10, Essence of 'Gaga' captured in one song. GOE - 10/10, Sounds like a Britney Spears, Blackout, outtake and I mean that as the highest compliment. PC - 10/10, Love a rage party. "I've become a notorious being" was a banger lyric just from the snippet. VIY - 10/10, Best lyrics on the album. Simple but powerful the way all great pop songs are. Killah - 8/10, I love how it sounds, but it has one of the worst lines on the album "Gonna make the curtains cream, believe it", no thank you. Zombieboy - 10/10 Pure fun, wasn't counting on a reference to "Animal" in 2025. One of my favorite old demos. LoveDrug - 1/10 Generic and forgettable. Kind of feel like it didn't need to be on the album and didn't really add anything. 1 point for vocals only. HBDUWM - 7/10 I only like 4 Taylor Swift songs, but I guess now I like 5...The lyrics sound like something a teenager would write, but they have a cleverness too. It has charm. DCT - 8/10 The lyrics feel connected to Fun Tonight, in the way that it's about a relationship, but can also be her singing to herself in a way. I love when her vocals are angry. SOAM - 9/10 Great, I'm going to listen to this one a lot, but feels like there is something missing..maybe a more stand out bridge? The Beast - 8/10, The lyrics are corny in an 80's way. I love the track and her vocals, so if I ignore what she's saying I can ride the wave of the sound. It's a good time. BOG - 8/10, I like the run of metaphors in the chorus, but it's less interesting to listen to musically. The music is very...standard. It sounds familiar and nostalgic even though it's new. DWAS - 10/10, Perfect closer. Crazy how well it matches the album, considering how worried some were that it would sound tacked on.

Is 1000 doves underrated?
I like the stripped down version a lot. The lyrics on the dance version's bridge are very cliche to me, which tips the song over the edge into being kinda tacky. I like the "doh-oh-oh-oves (oh-oh-oh) part though, that's fun.

Who is bigger now: Katy or Kesha?
In my heart? It has always been Kesha. In reality...I'd rather not talk about it....

Is Chained To The Rythm actually a great song?
It's one of maybe three Katy Perry songs that I like.

ARTPOP is one of the most experimental pop albums of all time.
I am an insane ARTPOP stan, witness my rant: When people say that ARTPOP was outdated EDM they don't know that Gaga literally gave many of the producers on ARTPOP their entry point into the mainstream EDM arena that you all say the album is an unoriginal imitation of. She helped Zedd get signed to Interscope in the 1st place. They worked together before he dropped Clarity, but Clarity came out before ARTPOP, and washed the radio in his production sound, which made ARTPOP sound late, but he wouldn't have crushed radio to start with without Gaga literally getting him hired by a label. Tchami, Nick Monson, DJ Snake all launched off the back of ARTPOP. Madeon had some more independent work before, but ARTPOP was his major mainstream opportunity as he was just 19-20 years old when she hired him. DJ Snake worked on BTW too, and he went on to make big hits like "Lean On" and he and Tchami made "Turn Down For What" as well, which were huge hits and may not have happened without ARTPOP giving those producers a door into the industry. The fact that ARTPOP was the 1st major work these DJs got to do, and that they went on to make hits on their own is a testament to the album being on the pulse of the future of Dance music, far from being outdated.

Chappell Roan: Nicki Minaj made queer music mainstream
Hate it when having queer fans gets conflated with making queer music. Do Nicki and Rihanna have many lgbt+ fans? Yeah. Do they make queer music? No. They didn't pave the way for anything like that. Not all pop girls should have credit in lgbt+ culture just because they are pop girls. I mean, the only thing I can think of is when Rihanna did that song with Shakira? Nothing substantial, and I think Nicki rapping words like, "Used to be bi, but now I'm just hetero.", is pretty disqualifying. Why not credit artists who are actually lgbt+?
