Having one holiday song net 30 weeks isn't ideal either. I don't think they'll let it go that far honestly. Otherwise it would make it extremely difficult for another Old Town Road or ABS moment to happen again, which would mean less engagement and media attention for Billboard. Not to mention having a bunch of holiday songs litter the Hot 100 All Time list. Trust me, that rule change is going to happen sooner than you think.

If LC tops the chart this year, the last of the big three Xmas songs, I can see them changing the rules next year to ban holiday songs from the Hot 100 again. Let's not act like Billboard hasn't pulled a fast one before.
