ICE is gonna ICE no matter if Amentum (or whoever) is contracted though. And I don't really believe in guilt by association in that way with no additional context. Again I ask, is there anything else whatsoever that would point to him being this demonic person? Taylor Swift likely deserves critique for a lot of things, the issue for me is people demonizing this person just to be able to confirm their belief that Taylor Swift is this complete moral vacuum of a person. You might say that isn't the reason you do this, but certainly you must realize this person is being demonized online specifically because of this.

For all you know though, he might have opposed to that. Is there any shred of evidence that he's a bad person apart from this? Because everything I've read makes it seem like he's actually a decent person with good values. It feels like an insane online smear campaign just because you guys need Taylor Swift to be a bad person.

What, what? You're literally the one demonizing a person sitting on the board of a company, which does a lot of different things including environmental research, because they got a contract to improve conditions on a mishandled ICE facility. OMG this person is literally an ICE agent, he probably was the one shooting those innocent people. All this smearing of this person, who you have no idea if he's actually a bad person, just because you want and need Taylor Swift to be a terrible person. It's sad really.

Why did they their company get the contract? What was the goal of the switch in whoever was responsible for what they are responsible for?

Is this still a thing? The idea that this guy runs an ICE facility must be one of the biggest pieces of misinformation regarding Taylor in the past few years.

I think it just happens to be so that she doesn't really care, and this is just a collective online imagination in order to have something to hate Taylor Swift with. I really don't think there's anything more to it.

Has Fantano's popularity plummeted recently? Why does he feel the need to talk about Taylor Swift at every oppurtunity? He should stick to reviewing music, that's where he is good, these kind of takes are clearly there only to generate headlines. If he is so concerned about Olivia and how she lost money for that and whatever, why not talk about good 4 u as well, an even bigger song that likely lost her even more money on similar situations? I just wonder why that is, really hard to figure.

I don't think the performance of the movie means anything (it did really well to be hones), but sure, Billie's first album, at least, was less commercial than Olivia's. Yeah, I would imagine that. I think she might get past 500k next album. Let's hope so.

I'm not sure why this is a relevant comparision at all. It's two completely different kind of movies. There was a biography about the father of the atom bomb a few years back, grossing a billion, that must mean he is much more known and popular than Taylor as well, right?

I'm not sure why it's deflecting. To me it doesn't make sense to drag someone for doing exactly what your own faves attempts to do, only that Taylor Swift is better at it. It's absolutely true that popularity doesn't equal quality. I would, however, argue that popularity over time usually does. Anyway, arguing that Taylor Swifts popularity isn't proportional to the quality of her music is absolutely valid (and at this point, can it really be refuted?), but then again that's also true for just about any pop star out there. Of course it doesn't make it less valid for any of them individually, but to me it just doesn't make much sense to bring it up to discredit her.

Sure, but then it sort of means nothing to call her that. At this point anyone that will reach her level of success is going to be similar as there is no other way of doing it. If the point is that she makes easy consumed and very accessible music (to drag her), then again, it's a terrible point to make considering this is a forum obsessed with pop stars (not named Taylor Swift) doing exactly the same thing. Alright then. Must suck for you that most artists with properly good singing ability does just as formulaic and creatively bankrupt music (or rather, even more so) as miss Swift then.

I mean, we're in a pop forum where people generally stan pop artists. This is true for the vast majority of pop artist. It's not the drag you think it is. The fact that Taylor Swift is better than most pop artists at doing this, doesn't mean she's less talented than them. It's actually the opposite.

It's fun listening to Noel go on, but he talks a lot of ****. I love Oasis, but the irony here is that it would be entirely possible to say the same about Oasis time as the world's biggest musical act.
