Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour
Sunday Update - Ticket remaining for final US shows* - Raleigh - 558 (Down 139 since Friday night) - Nashville - 2,212 (Down 157 since Friday night) - Atlanta - 1,722 (Down 276 since Friday night - though I initially over-counted ADA seats) - Tampa - 670 (Down 72 since Friday night) - Miami - 744 (Down 148 since Friday night) (Most are added side view seats) *Not including General Admission Floor seats Nashville may be struggling, but it is much improved over the Witness Tour where the upper sections had to be curtained off as noted in this review: "While the Nashville stories were familiar, something else set Perry's third concert at Bridgestone apart from the first two — a considerable number of empty seats. The upper deck of the arena was closed and concealed by curtains." Bruno Mars and 3 half-capacity stadiums?
Bruno Mars just announced a 2024 concert at the Singapore National Stadium. Due to demand, a second and third date was added. Looking at the seating map (below), he is only using a portion of the stadium’s capacity. So why add 2 additional shows, and not just adjust and use the stadium’s full capacity? For reference, artists who use the full capacity of Singapore National Stadium average 50,000 attendees. Artists who use the half capacity average 25,000-30,000 attendees.

P!nk - Summer Carnival 2024 ($700M gross - Billboard reports)
Surprised Los Angeles was not one of the first shows to sell out. On the Beautiful Trauma World Tour, there were 7 LA area shows. 2018: 1. Ontario // 9,597 / $1,457,009 2. Anaheim // 16,125 / $2,014,710 3. Los Angeles // 17,047 / $2,385,686 4. Inglewood // 14,777 / $2,307,175 2019: 5. Anaheim // 12,832 / $1,925,556 6. Los Angeles // 13,699 / $1,336,647 7. Inglewood // 14,354 / $2,074,363 P!nk played to 98,431 people and grossed $13.5 million in Los Angeles. between both US legs. One show at SoFi Stadium (180 degree stage setup) should be roughly 50,000 tickets. She has a strong touring record in the LA area, so I am confident this show will be fine.

P!nk - Summer Carnival 2024 ($700M gross - Billboard reports)
Correct. Another reason why Ticketmaster is awful. Since Ticketmaster (or any ticket vendor) can "hide" available tickets, it is impossible to keep an accurate count from the seat map. A show may look sold out, and then all of a sudden, tickets that were previously greyed out, become available. This usually happens as show dates get closer, since it induces "panic-buying" from fans who thought a show was sold out, and will now pay more for the tickets. So the update I posted yesterday, is only as accurate as the moment I counted. **On a different note, often as shows get closer and the stage is already built, an artist will open additional seating (production hold seats), that were never put up for sale in the first place in order to increase capacity. These could be seats behind speaker towers, or limited-view seating.

P!nk - Summer Carnival 2024 ($700M gross - Billboard reports)
Both of those are sold through the respective venue websites. Fenway Park: https://www.mlb.com/redsox/tickets/concerts/pink Click on "Buy Tickets 7/31" and you see the seat layout appear. On the right side, there are no tickets available, even if you adjust the number down to 1 When you click on "Buy Tickets 8/1", and adjust the number down to 1, you can see the available tickets on the right side. It is difficult to tell how many are available. There are more than when I checked yesterday. Wrigley Field: https://www.mlb.com/cubs/tickets/concerts/pink Click "Buy Tickets", and the setup is the same as Fenway Park. There are no tickets available on the right side.

Arena vs. Amphitheater Tour
What are the pros and cos of these two types of tours? It appears Amphitheaters can have higher attendances (due to ample lawn seating), but Arenas tend to have higher grosses.

What if...Taylor took over Billy's MSG Residency?
Billy Joel recently announced he is concluding his Madison Square Garden Residency in July 2024. https://news.pollstar.com/2023/06/01/billy-joel-to-end-madison-square-garden-residency-in-2024/ For reference, Billy has played (roughly) one MSG show a month since 2014 (150 shows in total by next July). What if MSG got Taylor to continue the tradition? MSG would be an "intimate" (12-18k people) venue compared to the stadiums (60-70k people) Taylor currently lives in. Imagine a different setlist each time spanning her entire discography. By late summer 2024, Taylor presumably would have brought the Eras Tour around the world, and could set up shop in New York City for a while. (Note, Billy also toured different cities while he did this Residency: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Joel_in_Concert) Passing the MSG torch from one musical legend to another would be quite the sight!

Ed Sheeran | The Mathematics Tour | 2025 European leg announced
Two months ago, I questioned if Ed could move over 15,000 remaining tickets before his show at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on May 27. According to the Stadium, Ed set a concert attendance record at the venue: 76,335 fans. https://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/ed-sheeran-drops-into-local-brewery-breaks-attendance-record-at-mercedes-benz-stadium.amp Very happy for him!

Update: 12,663 seated tickets remain in Atlanta (not counting the General Admission Floor) 2,876 tickets were sold in the last month, with one month to go. The album drops on Friday, and the NA Leg starts Saturday, so it will be interesting to see how the month unfolds. Fingers crossed for Ed!

7 days to sell out a Stadium
Luke Combs is in the early stretches of his 16 city North American Stadium tour. On Friday he announced a second date at Nissan Stadium in Nashville (seven days before the event is scheduled to take place). https://nissanstadium.com/concerts/luke-combs-adds-surprise-second-show/ Has a stadium show ever been announced with a one week lead time? Last I recall a show being put up with similar short notice was Harry Styles in Palm Springs.

Two new Rose Bowl concerts licensed for August. Who is it?
Risky, yes. But not as risky as Luke Combs announcing a 2nd show at Nissian Stadium seven days before the show. https://nissanstadium.com/concerts/luke-combs-adds-surprise-second-show/

Two new Rose Bowl concerts licensed for August. Who is it?
In the midst of a major US Summer Stadium concert season, the Rose Bowl has recently approved a license for two concerts to be preformed at the venue in August. https://rosebowl.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/bff08d3779ef4f779e15b2888483f519.pdf Los Angeles itself has over 30 stadium shows booked for this summer. Who else is headed that way? Billy Joel/Stevie Nicks - 1x SoFi in March Grupo Firme - 1x SoFi in May Tomorrow X Together - 2x BMO in May Romeo Santos - 1x SoFi in June Twice - 1x SoFi in June Morgan Wallen - 1x SoFi in June Grupo Arriesgado - 1x BMO in June blink-182 - 2x BMO in June Fall Out Boy - 2x BMO in July Fuerza Regida - 1x BMO in July Taylor Swift - 5x SoFi in August Metallica - 2x SoFi in August Marco Antonio Solis - 1x BMO in August Beyoncé - 3x SoFi in August Ed Sheeran - 1x SoFi in September P!nk - 1x SoFi in October Coldplay - 2x Rose Bowl in September/October RBD - 4x BMO in October Queen + Adam Lambert - 2x BMO in November

Ed Sheeran | The Mathematics Tour | 2025 European leg announced
Technically only had to count the sections that had more than 100 tickets left. Ticketmaster gives the total number available in each section if there are less than 100.

Ed Sheeran | The Mathematics Tour | 2025 European leg announced
None of those counted are resale. All of his tickets on Ticketmaster are first sale tickets. The thread was made to draw attention to his tour, not to bash him. He has certainty sold a lot of tickets in this case, but the gaps are noticeable. I truly hope he gets people in those seats, because he puts on a very impressive show.

Ed Sheeran | The Mathematics Tour | 2025 European leg announced
Ed is kicking off the North American Leg of his Mathematics Tour in just over one month, and it could use a sales boost. 15,539 seated tickets remain in Atlanta* (not counting the General Admission Floor). Other cities have similar numbers available. Big Ed fan here, and someone who is looking forward to the stripped back "-" album. Yet I am not convinced an acoustic album can move that many tickets (hoping I am wrong). *Randomly picked Atlanta to count for the purpose of this thread

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour | We Had the Time of Our Lives (Closing Night)
Trying to understand Stub Hub here: can anyone explain why they are showing tickets available for sale behind the stage in Vegas? (Specifically sections 222-228 and 322-328). From all of the videos of last night no one was seated in those sections. The set up for this tour is a 270 degree sightline, not a 360 degree. Are these just dupe tickets? https://www.stubhub.com/taylor-swift-las-vegas-tickets-3-25-2023/event/150593462/?quantity=2§ions=1326931&ticketClasses=13685&seatTypes=&listingQty=
