I honestly feel so bamboozled by H2H and how I loved every song of theirs only for SM to slap that blatant baby shark sound regression and redundancy on their whole mini for a 'summer cb'? plus, everything looks like cheap reuse of all their previous gg successes esp RV, uninspired, and to top it all off right after aespa's lemonade. finishing the mini with rude isn't doing them any favours bc it sounds like a song released off a refined 5yr career while there's the other 5 lost pre-debut OST child nugu songs…

Nothing beats RV sincerity so SM can't take that away (but they took the promo)

Looking at the MV teaser photos and that overdone SM subway set, the whole rollout for a full album like that unfortunately looks creatively deprived on SM's part. Not deprived of ideas but deprived of budget and just falling bland visually compared to RV releases last year and definitely Irene's last album. Lack of teasing, no promo, reusing the same pink set for two sets of teasers, a simple set with a bunny costume, a set with printed posters, a MV subway set. Just badly handled overall regardless of the quality of music and Irene's visuals.

1 week til release, poor sets, a measly MV teaser left, no promo. I know the budget went to the music.

it's such a shame there are 5 days of teasers left (if we're generous) until the album release but at least we can always count on Irene smashing the visual department

in deluluvs land, nobody moved for the scheduler of four days of teasers and no one will move about this either, but her full album getting paid even more dust than her mini is just sad.

existing in reveland is so insufferable sometimes because wdym fans are brainwashing themselves that 4 days of teasers for a full album is good since it's not a group but solo cb and there are less 'spoilers'. and you only get album details and highlight medley on top of those. getting used to sm's incompetence and gender preference for 12 years is one thing but the fandom's indifference and delusions further certify the disappointment.

Wendy's title is the worst song on the album and Firekiss, which they were considering anyway, would have been the better choice. Her vocals are very obviously more pronounced, colourful and present than they were in SM. However, someone said she could do far better than continuing in the lane of sanitised pop rock and I hope if she sticks with that direction, she can do something more distinctive ala Woodz e.g. his first ep. I was surprised her first day sales are lower than Joy's and I wonder if it might be because of the packaging but i guess we'll see w her overall sales.

with both hers and joy's EPs sounds, I can't help but feel a bit sad, especially in a world where we can directly compare them with Chaeyoung and Haechan who dare experiment more with more interesting sounds, or Giselle's Dopamine, or Ningning's Ketchup and Lemonade, etc. not everyone has to do RnB, although with that alone you can do so much, but Wendy just revealed she always enjoyed RV's Velvet titles more and I see none of that in her highlight medley, which doesn't sound bad but goes into generic... it's weird how stans just repeat the same praise regardless of the release and you can't even have discussions about the music itself. i saw more people complain about her styling.

can't help but think of what could have been again, considering she wrote Right Now for NewJeans, was in a studio with Joy in 2020 and has been interacting with her on social media for years… and people were begging for a collab for joy's debut well before hello.
