  3. speaking as someone who hasn't seen it, I think there was an inherent risk with the musical factor. doesn't mean it paid off, but still
  4. I mean on paper it should've been, there were just terrible decisions made at least Nose is praised for making the most of what she was given, we win even while losing
  5. the good thing about jFAD bombing is that she can put all her energy into LG7 and I don't have to worry about her taking another comic book role
  6. can't get over how sweet she sounds on Smile I'm not sure, but I don't think it would make sense with the LG7 lead coming this month anyway
  7. I know it's because Kamala's been courting her kind but still
  8. imagine arguing in favor of race science when you look like THAT even after getting work done
  9. don't jinx us like that
  10. got so excited seeing this in my inbox because I didn't pay attention that the next words were "political survival" instead of "his life"
  11. Vance didn't pull a Budd Dwyer so I found it personally disappointing, but Walz did a nice job overall
  12. Like one of the things they say frequently on the news back home when we have tornadoes (like this year with the April 27th outbreak that tore through Sulphur, Marietta, and Holdenville) is to let the first responders make their way in first. Just thinking about tornadoes specifically, you can have all kinds of debris all over the place, downed power lines you can't see, structures can be dangerously unstable, etc. Throw flooding on top of that (which sometimes we get in conjunction like in 2015 when a woman in the OKC metro drowned in her shelter while taking cover) and a MUCH wider radius, and a hurricane just seems overwhelming to respond to. i think frustration is warranted, but you (general you) also have to think about how to go about rescues without putting additional people at risk. Funding being so comparatively limited is a travesty though - and it'll only get worse as climate change intensifies
  13. Like i know from my own experience of living in disaster prone central Oklahoma (and basically down the road from both the 1999 and 2013 E/F5 Moore tornadoes) how relief efforts can't always be an instantaneous thing for safety reasons, but a lot of people aren't familiar with weather situations and responses and want immediate results. Thats not to say the response to Helene has been perfect or anything, but people misunderstanding how these things are handled and funded is yet another hurdle on the path to defeating Trump.
  14. Public perception of the efforts matters almost as much as the actual efforts themselves. There's still an unfortunate amount of people who think nothing is being done which is worrisome
  15. maybe it's me dooming a bit, but between the situation unfolding in the ME, dock strikes, and hurricane recovery it lowkey feels like the make or break moment rn
  16. yall have been saying this since ARTPOP its time to give it up, deelishis
  17. this is the user who was confident Biden was going to win right until the moment he withdrew, even when his polling was hemorrhaging
  18. they need to just sit him down with some cocomelon and an ice cream cone and keep him out of view until the end of his term
  19. picking Walz, declining to use Woman's World, now this
  20. can't believe one year ago tonight was my show… i was so happy im actually even happier these days on a day to day basis, but that's from life and not her doing anything
  21. It's worse than that actually - he's since asked for DOUBLE the amount we're ranked 49th in education nationally, but clearly Jesus will help prepare our students for their exams or maybe he's just making sure our kids get right with the lord before meeting their end in a school shooting since he's super pro-gun too (and recently asked for funding to arm teachers)
  22. and there's something for everyone, either presently or upcoming! idgaf about this movie and im fine with it not being a critical/commercial smash because she can shift her focus, but Harlequin is lovely and we have a new era starting shortly
  23. thinking about it, I can't believe we're getting so much content this year and more confirmed for early 2025 we survived the post-tour drought and endless "im editing the film" and are being rewarded
  24. 89 is a good long run, but wow it's still such a shock
