Better Spanish discography: Shakira or Rosalía?
Rosalia's albums are much more innovative than Shakira's, even if you ignore her last 3 efforts. I agree that Shakira's early lyricism is unmatched in general, but that's thanks to the genres she sings in that lend themselves for the lyrics to shine. Spanish pop rock, especially during the late 90s and early 2000s, was perfect for constructing elaborate but slick stories through lyrics. So at this point it's a matter of what you value more. However, I'm convinced Rosalía could deliver that level of lyricism when the right moment comes (it will).

Lana Del Rey - "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter"
If the single doesn't drop with an album pre order then I'll have my doubts about the album date... Anyway, i'm excited!

Taylor Swift releases signed CDs in UK to block Rosalía's LUX from its challenged #1

ROSALÍA - 'LUX'
Him feeding into it is the best thing promotional wise for the song. Such a d*mb*ss lmao

ROSALÍA - 'LUX'
It's interesting that the lyrics have been available since minute 1 on Spotify. Some of the songs also have translation available (into Spanish, for me), is it the same for other languages?

ROSALÍA - 'LUX'
I have been trying so hard to avoid the snippets and the leaks, I haven't listened to Reliquia and I plan not to until the album release, but I think I have been exposed to most of the album lyrics by now so much teasing

Does The Times count for Metacritic? I think it doesn't

Rosalía's Berghain debuts straight at #1 on Spain's official singles chart
The official Spanish charts are not that relevant (imagine current Billboard but without the legacy), but I'm still mad Malamente was blocked from #1 (and Pienso en tu mirá)

Rosalía "LUX" Review Thread | MC: 97 | AOTY: 93 | Pitchfork: 8.6
The pitchfork review for Berghain was absolute trash, it wasn't even a review. Their Motomami review was also a bit lukewarm, all things considered. It seems like they are mad that everyone caught up with them after they were one of the first anglo media to review her with El Mal Querer and they now want to act superior.

ROSALÍA f/ Björk & Yves Tumor - "BERGHAIN"
I would say it's a normal update. The previous days were just too good. It's mainly because of the loss of streams in Spain. Btw, the host of los 40 (main Spanish radio) said that there is another song from the album that is expected to be pushed for radio. Maybe the song that she is supposedly dropping tomorrow?

ROSALÍA - 'LUX'
Reflecting on Motomami prerelease months... they were crazy. She released Saoko, Chicken Teriyaki and Hentai purely to introduce the main concept of the album knowing well those were not going to become big hits and get trashed by locals. But at the same time, I think it was her main intention. I'm glad there isn't any prerelease single this time. Personally, I prefer traditional eras where you have time to enjoy one song while excitingly waiting for the whole album to drop, but LUX seems a record to be welcomed as a whole at once, an experience.

Spotify Day 33: TLOAS – 31M || Ophelia – 7.6M|| Opalite -4.8M
Some people here need some maths lessons before discussing figures because it's obvious that: - The more tracks an album has the higher the chances to have a bigger total debut - The more tracks an album has the higher the chances to have a smaller average per track There are exceptions, obviously, that's why I said "chances"

Lana Del Rey hits back at old rumors; changes IG bio to throw shade at old critics.
I love the way she holds grudges for years, even for things that we would not consider that affected her the most, but they did even to this day. She has every right to do so, and I think it's part of the magic of her story and career.

Why hasn't a half time performer dropped an album directly after performing?
And they play their old music, people are focused on the hits they played and their catalog, one new song may be okay but a whole new album would not gather the deserved attention

Fifth Harmony and Little Mix's first-day stream comparison for their solo albums.
Camila: big success, met the expections of being the biggest member and she managed to create a path for herself Normani: big underperformance after the cute unexpected run she had in 2018-2019 and the support she had, she hasn't done anything to mend it Jade: surprise of the group and decent success taking into consideration that all LM girls debuted their solo careers quite late, she will be fine in the long run Perrie: a bit disappointing since she seemed the biggest member during LM peak but understandable in today's context. Her album would have smashed in 2018-2019 But at least they had the opportunity to release an album, Leigh coming soon, apparently

Predict Showgirl's debut numbers
Let's be real, Taylor won't let any of her new projects do much worse than the previous ones. So, if TPPD did 2.6M, this album won't do less than 2.2M. The only thing she has as a disadvantage this time is the number of tracks. (Although we won't know whether she has another big trick up her sleeve for sure until the week is over). I think she learned that longer albums aren't beneficial commercially for certain genres or artists in the long run, and especially in terms of quality and criticism). But she will compensate that with pure sales, I'm sure. Spotify debut: 260M Hot 200 debut: 2.7M In comparison with TPPD: 200k less streaming units, 300k pure sales units
