Tinashe - 'QUANTUM BABY'
The beauty of stanning Tinashe is that even if this project isn't your cup of tea, she has so many albums with a variety sounds. She literally has a little bit of everything for everybody while still giving you Tinashe. I like this project. Not my fave but neither was BB/Angel. I'm def more of a "Nightride", "Songs For You" girlie lol Thirsty, Cross The Line, and Getting No Sleep are the standouts to me so far.

Megan Thee Stallion - 'MEGAN'
Her verse on "paper together" is insane
-
Normani f/ Gunna - "1:59"
Love Mabel and music is subjective... But "1:59" is a lot more interesting of an R&B track than "vitamins", pls

Beyonce & Jay Z dragged for mocking Tina Turner’s abuse
Lol Summer having a song called "Anna Mae" compared to a lyrics where Jay-Z compares himself to notorious abuser Ike Turner and then references "eat the cake" which is a very horrific scene of abuse in a film. Whether or not it was fictional or not, the reference is still surrounding a scenario of abuse. I would maybe be willing to give some grace if he also literally doesn't compare himself to Ike Turner. Like what?

Chlöe mocks the haters and her current music career trajectory
I feel the users on this site are too young to remember that Beyonce (yes THE Beyonce) was dragged for a lot of the same things Chloe is being dragged for now early on. Lucky for Bey, there was no social media in 2003 when she fully went solo. But even without social media, all I heard growing up was "Beyonce does too much", "Why doesn't she put some clothes on?", "her music is trash". Blah blah blah. Imagine if Beyonce actually allowed all the noise to truly stop her. We wouldn't even be able to experience Chloe right now. As long as Chloe keeps pushing past the noise, people will come around. They literally always do. A tale as old as time.

Chlöe mocks the haters and her current music career trajectory
Tea. I swear "fans" care more about numbers than seeing their "fav" happy and fulfilled.

Is the sucking of the tongue also part of the greeting?

Melanie Martinez - 'PORTALS'
Did anyone pre-order the CDs from the website? I would have thought they shipped already but I haven't gotten any update. I really wanted the physical the day of the drop.

Doja Cat reveals new album title, debunks rock/punk theories
Would be here for a Buffy themed/slayer inspired era visually. Would kinda slay.

Melanie Martinez - "DEATH"
What's so good about stanning an artist like Melanie is that she has never/rarely gotten radio play or the same pop star treatment as her peers so it allows her to be super experimental and do things like create an entire character for an era. I think it's cool to have an artist not worry about typical "success" and just create the art that speaks to them. I doubt she thinks this song will get her to some mainstream pedestal.

Melanie Martinez - 'PORTALS'
Word is that a film will be released like next year. So I'm also wondering if she's just holding it or still needs to shoot it. I really need some Melanie visuals. I've been eating up her videography lately and she's truly one of a kind when it comes to visuals.

Saweetie - "ICY GRL, ICY WORLD"
Sweetie, this is "Lookin At Me" over some random beat. Nicki has never sampled this song.

Kanye: my mom was sacrificed
Not saying what Kanye said has any validity, but he actually states in the video why a sacrifice would be completed. He states that it is a means of control and traumatization. If there were any validity in his claims, it would make sense that agreeing to a sacrifice could be a way of showing you're willing to do whatever in order to achieve riches and fame. I mean on a more everyday level, many gangs, including factions of the KKK, sometimes require a "body" to join. On the other hand, if the sacrifice is more about control, one of the biggest ways to control people is through fear. We see this played out consistently in my country (United States) and globally. If you threaten and kill these celebrity's loved ones, you can gain control over them because they are probably afraid they will be killed as well. Kanye is speaking in code so who knows what he's talking about or why. He also has no evidence to backup the claims so there isn't much to be done with it. He's all over the place with no consistent thread-through.

Can we finally admit that Break My Soul was actually a really mediocre song?
Also lol at you people saying "Alien Superstar" should've been the lead. Are ya'll trolling or being serious? While the song is immaculate, let's not pretend like the general public would have embraced a song like AS as a lead.

Can we finally admit that Break My Soul was actually a really mediocre song?
My mother has disliked Beyonce for my entire life but was absolutely bopping to "Break My Soul" so I would say it did what it needed to do and was digestible enough for the general public and Beyonce haters (which based on this thread, there are many)

Beyoncé
Wait, so that video in New York of the lady in green was actually Beyonce/a double after all?
-
Beyoncé - 'RENAISSANCE'
Not seeing enough "America Has a [Bop] Problem" stanning. Can't wait until the GP gets ahold of this album and forces It to be single #2.

Beyoncé - 'RENAISSANCE'

Tinashe debuts at #147 on the Billboard 200
The girl's love dragging Tinashe with having a clue about her discography. Tinashe has served more quality in her MIXTAPES than a lot of girls have on their albums. Tinashe catalogue is SO strong and it is so sad that it is not more widely recognized, especially given that SO many mainstream stars have taken cues from her signature sound. OT: BTW...what would Ciara's signature sound even be? Lol. Anyway...

Tinashe debuts at #147 on the Billboard 200
I don't think she cares about charting high, though, which is why she released on Thursday (as well as the singles). I think she's happy to just be able to release her music. Her mission seems to be accomplished. People are really liking the album. Other than trolls and haters, no one cares where she charted. I think it's dope that she can say she had a #1 album on itunes though. Not everyone has had that this year.

Tinashe debuts at #147 on the Billboard 200
You all do realize she realize she released on the LAST day of the streaming week, right? You all do realize Tinashe is probably very aware of this and realize she wouldn't chart that high given this fact, right? She's clearly sending a message that she isn't aiming for charts or else she would have done a traditional Friday release, which would have put her much higher on the charts. Chill out.
