  1. I just got back from watching it. It was great and seeing the film really elevated the song for me, because she captured the essence of it sooooo well. And I would say that because of the post credits scene, at least 2/3's of the packed theatre sat through the credits and heard the entire song.
  2. This is something that every label does. Didn't Olivia's team just ship all the lenticular vinyl early for her release instead of June 26th like advertised, because they decided they wanted to get higher first week sales, rather than staggering the shipments out over multiple weeks?
  3. It is eligible. Some articles about the updated submission rule were worded confusingly and made it sound like the song had to be included in the last 15 seconds of the film too, but it doesn't. It just simply has to be the first song in the credits AND when it is submitted, their video submission has to include the last 15 secs of the film, so they can see the context of the song and credits beginning, but it doesn't have to be playing during those 15 secs.
  4. Yeah I just checked on Spotify and it's 11:59pm UTC time, so there is an extra hour. https://support.spotify.com/us/artists/article/understanding-spotify-charts/
  5. Doesn't the Spotify tracking day end at 12am UTC time? So there should be 4 hours and 45 mins left.
  6. Lainey Gossip had a post today about the radio push they are doing for the song and Taylor is previewing it to country radio and talking to them about it. I am excited that they are really serious about pushing the song. ImgBBScreenshot 2026 06 03 at 7 33 41 PM hosted at ImgBBImage Screenshot 2026 06 03 at 7 33 41 PM hosted on ImgBB
  7. This is silly. Of course Randy Newman will have a song, he does the entire soundtrack for every Toy Story film? But most of what he composes are instrumental pieces for the score. I can't see anything confirming he has written a stand out song for it, that they will be pushing as the lead over Taylor. They have chosen to release and promote the Taylor one ahead of the film's release for a reason. It doesn't even sound like Bad Bunny has a song, it says he has a surprise after the credits. So if that's a song, it is ineligible for an Oscar, because only the first song in the credits can be nominated. But it more sounds like it's a surprise to do with the Toy Story videos he used to film during the pandemic. And lastly, it's naive to think this isn't a mutually beneficial arrangement for Taylor and Disney. She did not sign on to do this song, go take photos with the Disney CEO, and have them do this mega rollout to promote it, only for them to then turn around to run a campaign to push a different song from the film to the Academy. This is the one that they will be campaigning for.
  8. TotC don't seem to be able to predict RSD sales. Last year they didn't include Fortnight in their top 100 prediction at all, and then it actually re-entered at #33.
  9. She pretty much confirmed it is being released for the 20th anniversary on the Graham Norton show, but they cut that part when it aired. This person was in the audience.
  10. Doesn't the fact that the majority of Opalite's streams will be premium streams instead of whatever the normal free + premium ratio is for a song not help counteract DtMF having more? Plus radio, and whatever the sales are on top of that. I still feel like she could take it...
  11. I thought under the new Billboard rules you can't drop a D2C (webstore) variant mid-week during your first tracking week? Which is why she was using iTunes to make them B2C. Have her team found a way around it?
  12. Do we think there is a possibility that the Target vinyl will be in-store only like The Anthology was for Black Friday and that's why they are doing those midnight store openings? Just seems weird that the CDs went up for pre-order, but we still haven't heard anything about the vinyl.
  13. The same situation was happening in 2022 though? Midnights was announced and they were trying to get pre-orders, yet her team still denied it.
  14. I did think it was interesting that Tree didn't respond and deny it this time: "Reps for Swift and Roc Nation did not immediately respond to Variety's request for comment." https://variety.com/2025/music/news/taylor-swift-welcome-to-play-super-bowl-halftime-nfl-goodel-1236506089/ I went back through some previous years and her team were quick to deny it the same day once any rumors picked up significant steam: https://pitchfork.com/news/taylor-swift-turns-down-offer-to-play-2023-super-bowl-halftime-show/ So that alone has me 75% convinced it's happening at this point.
  15. I know the 36 minutes length is incorrect, but the album probably will be shorter than some people are expecting. 1989 is 48 minutes long and was pressed on 2 LP's and this is only on 1. You can't really press more than 20-22 minutes of music on each side of an LP, before the quality degrades.
  16. I think that is one of my favourite performances from the entire tour. I love the way she can use her old discography to create new stories through these mashups, but words can't really express how much I love that one. The Prophecy is such a devastating song, so to use the mashup to change the prophecy with the "and he's passing by, rare as a glimmer of a comet in the sky" just makes me so emotional. And the way she doesn't mash it up until right until the end of the song, so it's like a little surprise that she changed it in the end. I just love it!!!
  17. Matthew Belloni who is a lawyer and the owner of Puck News (and former editor of The Hollywood Reporter) said yesterday that he has heard she is considering a lawsuit. So just because she isn't publicly speaking about something immediately, doesn't mean it's not being looked at by her team.
  18. That has made sense to me for a while. I think when she filmed the Karma MV with that clock easter egg she intended for rep TV to be next, but once she had enough material to release a new album, everything shifted and we won't get rep TV until next year at the earliest. I just can't see the logic behind announcing a new album while your current one is still #1 on the Billboard charts and I think albums can also underperform if you release them the same quarter as the US elections. I know a lot of people were holding on to the fact that she hadn't performed IDSB and was saving it for the announcement, so her performing that with no announcement was her making it clear to me that it isn't being announced at any remaining Era's dates.
  19. I am kind of perplexed why Billie's team chose to release only a month after Taylor, knowing full well that TTPD was predicted to have huge numbers, that her albums do very large numbers in the weeks following release, and that Taylor's team will make moves to try and secure additional weeks at #1. And I don't buy that they just don't care about chart positions, because even if Billie doesn't personally care, her team and label most definitely do with all the variants. Just seems odd to set her up like this, when they could have released a few weeks later and most certainly had a #1 debut.
  20. Taylor's team already denied that: https://ew.com/beyonce-taylor-swift-not-collaborating-renaissance-act-ii-8580315
  21. I don't know how accurate it is, but TMZ says Taylor is releasing a Christmas album this year in their new TMZ Live video. It's at 34:42: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdhWLfcuTKE&t=2082s
  22. I just want to find the rest of the lyrics. I have only seen them for 2 and a 1/2 songs.
