UK Politics 🇬🇧🏛️ yet another Prime Minister
Well, Liz Truss won't be in the ballot anymore. I guess her 50 votes will be key; and they are bound to go to some rightwing messy candidate such as BORIS. I think he coulg get to 100 easily.

Brazil presidential elections: Round 2 - Lula defeats Bolsonaro!! ??
Yes, I agree Indeed I also still expect October 30 to be close, despite what pollsters are about to predict (Lula likely winning)
-
Brazil presidential elections: Round 2 - Lula defeats Bolsonaro!! ??
Nah, pollsters were good at predicting Lula's share https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_polling_for_the_2022_Brazilian_presidential_election They just underestimated Bolsonaro's, which is not uncommon as loads of his supporter won't declare their vote. We've seen this happening many times already when right wing voters are involved. Bolsonaro could still win a 2R but only if something MAJOR happens in the current month leading to October 30 and so Lula supporters won't vote

Brazil presidential elections: Round 2 - Lula defeats Bolsonaro!! ??
90% in Lula 47.12% Bolsanaro 44.32% The trending leads to a 48% vs 43.5% outcome
-
Brazil presidential elections: Round 2 - Lula defeats Bolsonaro!! ??
Same old story here Lula % was spot on (most pollsters had him on the lead with 47-48%) Bolsanaro % was not, and we've seen this unfolding many times now Still, Lula should win 2R
-
Brazil presidential elections: Round 2 - Lula defeats Bolsonaro!! ??
Lula is increasing by larger margin now Maybe 48% is possible now Still a 2R will be needed
-
Brazil presidential elections: Round 2 - Lula defeats Bolsonaro!! ??
70% in Lula 45.74% Bolsanaro 45.51% gaining 0.5% every 10% of the votes counted, while Bolsanaro losing the same So yes, all is leading to a 47% against 44% outcome and Bolsanaro overperforming (which was kinda predictable)
-
Brazil presidential elections: Round 2 - Lula defeats Bolsonaro!! ??
66% in Bolsanaro 45.7% Lula 45.5% I guess Lula will take over sooner than I thought
-
Brazil presidential elections: Round 2 - Lula defeats Bolsonaro!! ??
60% in Bolsanaro 46% Lula 45.2% Probably overtaking Bolsanaro by 75% counted
-
Brazil presidential elections: Round 2 - Lula defeats Bolsonaro!! ??
Probably ending up with 48% Lula vs 42% Bolsanaro

Why are Catholics the most progressive western religion?
I am from Italy and I agree with this take I must tell things are slowly changing though. I mean, we've made MASSIVE progress throughout the last 15 years. I am not talking about legislation, it's how regular people approach LGBTQ's issues that's changed so much (in a positive way) Transition and Surrogacy (and LGBTQ's people adopting kids to a lesser degree) are the main issue left. But just 15 years ago, gay issues were full taboo here and now there's a majority supporting gay rights and the young generation have it way better than we did. I am also conviced Millenial and Gen Z will change legislation, meaning equal marriage rights and adoption for single and gay people, in the next decade (when the impending disgraceful government has failed).
