I really don't understand, what could this be? I assume a potential side B would hit next year for the anniversary – a tradition which I like, because it gives you a whole year to appreciate the original record, before expanding on the era even further. Is she pulling a deluxe edition instead of a side B this time around?

The fact that she now, 15+ years into her career, is still growing as a songwriter, delivering prolific eras with absolute highlights of her discography, is INSANE to me. As a stan, I am obviously biased, but no one is doing it like her. No one.

Yes is INCREDIBLE, that is such an amazing direction for her!

I am so overwhelmed at the first listen, but there are definitely some career highlights in here. Her songs with Cole are just magnificent!

50 plays in a day, it's a boooop! But surprisingly I am more excited about the Day side after After All blew me away. It really does seem like she's on a high these days and she's exploring a new side of music where she's clearly thriving. While I do love me some synth Carly with high BPM (CTTF is one of my favourite Carly songs), it does get a bit exhausting how a part of the fan base is ALWAYS looking for the Emotion followup, always comparing everything to Emotion and will put down anything she does that is not a glittery dance bop. She has so many other sides to her music, she does so many different things and she does it well. If songs like After All and On Wires and Kollage etc are not your thing, that's completely fair. But it clearly makes her happy and she's doing some of the most liberated and most impressive writing of her career right now. It's a very natural progression for her as an artist, and it gets old when people are constantly putting the new material down because it's not Emotion.
