I wanted to utilise as many of these as possible, but showcase them in a new light. “Aftertaste” shares similarities in both arrangement and writing style, but diverges from the original with its core concept of two lovers in a failing relationship. While they still love each other, they’re no longer in love with one another, and would rather end things now while they’re still on good terms than wait until things take a turn for the worse.
