Was Christina wrong for not including this

On Back To Basics?

It's so good jonny

The track ended up going to Pixie Lott with... underwhelming results.

Also, does anyone know if there's a higher quality of Christina's version out there?

this is such a good song but it's not B2B era, it was for Burlesque. this is her sound by the way, B2B is her best album

The file I have sounds louder but I wouldn't say better. lakitu

Nasty is a bop but Back to Basics is already long enough so... and I can't unremember certain thing Cee Lo has said publicly so I wouldn't want him tainting such classy body of work.

Edit: me too I forgot it was a Burlesque demo, it sounds more like a BTB track from the vocals to the production. rip

From my understanding this was done during the B2B sessions but didn't make the tracklist and then they wanted to re-use it for Burlesque but that fell through as well? Maybe some Christina fans can confirm

It's also better than quite a few of the tracks so I wouldn't have minded if it had replaced some of them suburban

This is correct but the reason it didn't make neither album is because the sample used wasn't 100% cleared in time for both albums. I think this would've made a great lead single from burlesque especially during that time.

Pixie Lott destroyed the song. It sounds like a troll version like she tried her own Christina impression. She doesn't have the vocals yikes!

Not sure why she doesn't go with a retro and jazz/swing sound with her next album. It lets her do her signature runs and showcases her voice far better than what she's been doing

This would've smashed in 2006.

Xtina's team dropped the ball.

This is right. Back to Basics is great, but it needed further single material (and should've been a longer era, to begin with). "Nasty" is fun, pop and breezy, while fitting the theme sonically (even though it would be a bit of a mismatch lyrically). Another missed opportunity (in a long series, LBR, when it comes to her career).

I mean, Slow Down Baby was right there. It was a classic waiting to happen. To this day I really don't know why they didn't make a plan to push this after Candyman. I know she was touring at the time but surely they could've scheduled a video shoot for it somewhere in between.

Yep. "Slow Down Baby" is the one I think really warranted a single release other than what got out there (and the fact that they didn't even try is weird). But, other than that, I don't see anything really happening. "Nasty" would be a better option than whatever else is left on the album (not that there are not great tracks, like "Understand" or "Save Me from Myself", I just don't see them working as major singles, at most side releases).
