At the end of 2016 5SOS served one of the best fan services and unlocked all their vaults and released compilations which include all their bonus tracks and singles b sides in their career which are.... MANY.

 

 

Many of our faves has the same amount of rare bonus tracks that are scattered around various editions and are unavailable on streaming services. Would you like if your faves did the same and one day just dropped EVERYTHING?

 

 

I'm more into albums that feel like curated bodies of work. I like when there's a clear vision behind a project: cohesive, clean, and preferably not too long, because long albums (20+ tracks) end up having fillers.

I'm not really a fan of artists dropping many versions or overstuffed tracklists just for numbers or fan service.

It kind of takes away from the integrity of the original project.

 

I hardly ever listen to leaks. If they choose to release those songs later, that's cool, but I still prefer clean discographies with no back and forth tbh!

mostly agree but in 5SOS situation it was a case of poor management. their label couldn't find the right way to promote them in their early years so they thought making dozens of EPs and hundred editions of their debut album was somehow a good idea  

 

sadly many artists suffer from the same issue, mostly those who debuted before 10s, but for whatever reason they either don't care or don't have a right to make their deepest cuts available for a loose public. 

I think every artist should do what Mariah did and release a The Rarities compilation, not only is it a way to please the fans but it's a whole new album too

I remember! I was a big fan back in 2014  those songs are so good they put me in a great mood
