and people are weirdly defensive over it. i've been here since day one, and i've never been this disappointed in kesha like this. it's very evident things are last minute, and have minimal to zero planning. the concepts don't even make sense. it feels so weird cus she's never been like this before. the random joyride video dropping months later with a delusional announcement the same day that has an AI cover unrelated to anything else previous. Using joyride music video behind the scenes pictures for play listing, cus it's obvious they didn't shoot anything for delusional. the shortened intro version of delusional sounding very amateur in terms of how they spliced it. it's so strange, cus you think after a decade of fighting for her freedom and finally getting it, she'd be joyous to be doing everything the way she wants - but she seems incredibly checked out.

the way she hasn't even tried to explain the AI cover or sympathize with the many fans that have questioned it. it's like she just doesn't care.

the mixing on this is AWFUL ?! :deadbanana4:

it's so bad during the hook

I don't think it's bad, I think it's a style choice. A lot of her demos from 2012-2013 sound like this, including "Shots on the Hood of My Car."

So I was looking for a FLAC file for this. And apparently the song was uploaded in MP3 to the streaming services :rip:

It explains why the quality feels a little off

The mixing is fine (at least compared to what we got on high road)

Yeah I kind of agree. I sort of like that she's doing things somewhat on the fly but I'm also like mama why don't take a second, take a breath, start planning things out properly and go from there.

It worked for Joyride because the song speaks for itself and the last minute cover etc actually fit the vibe of the song but agreed, everything with Delusionals release just feels off. It's like they finally saw a week with no other releases and were just like okay let's drop it!

I just hope once the album gets announced things are being planned and organised properly because a rush/unplanned out album release is not going to work.

It has grew on me a little, but I don't think this is a good second single choice :chick3:  Should've kept the Joyride sound

Anyway, talking about a different subject, Gag Order is so good :jonny4: been listening to it today, and it's so well balanced

You know who's Delusional? Us thinking that the Joyride video is just a prologue for a series of other videos :clown:

Maybe she shouldn't have shot the Joyride music video and saved some coin for the Delusional campaign. If the album shoot involves yet another birkin bag with painted words, trust she will be dealt with. I can't believe that this is the same artist that released the Gag Order visuals. Call Brian Roettinger again please Kesha.

Wrong thread but atrl search bar sucks ass

I just had a tv commercial for coca cola play the original version of Holiday Road in the background and I was so disappointed it wasn't the Kesha version.

Serious, I have something bugging me that I don't know if I'm right but Kesha's lastest releases are sounding very Low Quality like, there are a tons of songs that I listen and when I put high volume and they sound great but hers... Even the older songs tho but before we used to listen to it in old pcs and stereos/tv. :lakitu:

Ps. JOYRIDE is the only one that seemed very polished tho

did anyone else notice that the mastering on the main version and the shorter version are different? The shorter version has more high end/high frequency boosted. You can hear it clearly on the synths in the intro. Not really that noticeable throughout the rest of the song but I thought that was interesting lol

I don't think the mixing on this is that bad, it does sound a little over-compressed/squashed though

YASSSSSS like this song is NONSTOP on repeat. Playing it last night outside in the cold, headed home, thinking of all the things I've overcame this year ... :jonnycat:i truly felt like the main character. Knew this song was a BOP from the moment she posted a snippet.

Be careful with your words- this fanbase takes your opinion really seriously and you could really sway it into negative sentiment. I think we still need to be patient and believe in her. An AI cover can not ruin her entire hard earned goodwill. We made sure she was aware we were upset and we can have faith she won't make the same mistakes!

I thought that the AI artwork was just an announcement teaser :rip: anyway, the song is cute and classic Kesha but it doesn't hit as hard as Joyride

Yikes at its second day update. She has no one to blame but herself for this. She wasted the Joyride hype on a mid song and now she's tarnished a bit of her brand because of the AI cover. Thank goodness a random holiday single is getting playlisted and actually doing very well.
