HALF LIGHT/ DAYDREAM TWO NEW SONGS OUT NOW, IT INCLUDES SARAH CRACKNELL VOCALS . it sounds like a mix of sound of water + i've been trying to tell you. it also says 

half light (single version) - bonus track

daydream (bonus track) don't know what that could mean.

daydream is a b-side to half light

 

they are releasing additional CD with b-sides if I understood correctly

they are probably one of the most underrated bands ever! It's crazy how Words and Music album sounds like something Kylie Minogue could release

Love the vibes of Half Light and Daydream, they're so calm and beautiful. If the album follows that ambient-pop template I'm in.

 

The cover art is nice, love the typography, but I wish they would have used the one from the bonus EP:

the limited cd "deep into the night"it is. but the cd and vinyl versions of the night aren't 

some people also shared their initial thoughts, i'm glad to see sarah it's finally back. 

 "Just had my first listen. I really love it. I think we all knew it wasn't going to be full on bangers so I went in prepared. It's really dreamy, quite ambient. Some lush melodies and harmonies. Not really any beats, folky, fireside vibes. Experimental but a lot more captivating than the last album. It's a vibe actually - Sarah sound great, she's singing a lot, talking passages. Proper vocals not samples. Some Boards of Canada feels on some songs. A bit soundtracky, a bit Midsomar. It's exactly what I wanted and very cohesive. I know I'll come back to it a lot but I've always loved this side to them.It's comforting and disarming at the same time. It's unsettling enough to stop it being twee at any point"

i just heard it  and omg it's f***** incredible, don't know another band who slays like saint etienne our precious sarah cracknell, thank god for sarah cracknell.

the night is cinematography, a non stop mix of ambient, electronic, alternative some shoegaze moments too. it takes you, it dives you to the different hours of night, it also makes you think of life, through melancholy lyrics, spoken words interludes.

this is pure st etienne class.

for make you an idea of how's the album sound,,, is like mixing together so tough, sound of water and i've been trying to tell you. and also if you love goldfrapp discography alboums like felt mountain or tales of us, YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS. 10/10 fav tracks: Half Light, The Nightingale, Preflyte, Gold, Through The Glass, Alone Together, Hear My Heart, Daydream. it's so amazing that i don't have wordsssss
