Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'

It drives me crazy when artists put 10 tracks on an album and call it a day. There’s really no incentive to buy off her site. No bonus tracks or extras. Which must mean we will probably get a deluxe/club version

end of an era for sure not going to be the next single since she said she wants to drop them in chronological order

It is because she, her team and label try to play for a game of longtivity.

The reviews and main coverage Will be about the main album and a consistent amount of tracks like this make the chances higher for good response.

She had released extended versions for both singles so far, so we may get an extended album edition in the vein of Kylie.

And when yhe time is right we get a complete/extended edition and maybe some region exclusives like last eras.

The cover is giving late 90s female-led rock band. Very Cardigans/Cranberries-coded. I'd love it if the music matches too.

Loving the album cover and name!!!! :alexz: It’s honestly everything and more! Also, the physical editions look absolutely fabulous.

Bbbuttt I can’t believe her team accidentally leaked lyrics for the ENTIRE album :skull::rip::skull::rip::skull::rip::skull::rip:

However, reading them all, I do have to say that it seems like there is a consistent theme of her lessons through relationships and love from wondering if anyone is worth her worth to discovering someone is and being scared that he’s challenging her own beliefs. A very intriguing and cohesive narrative.

Also, loving that almost every single song has a full structure with two verses, three choruses, a proper bridge. I even think two of the song have variations of the lyrics/changes in their final choruses (in comparison to the first two), which is pretty rare in the current pop music landscape.

I don't really understand all the complaining about the album being 11 tracks. Future Nostaglia also started with 11 tracks and most people seemed more than happy with it.

My eyes hurt but I was able to make out some of the credits for the album. Ian Kirkpatrick, Andrew Wyatt, Emily Warren, Ali Tamposi and Billy Walsh are other collaborators.

People are on their hate train era so no matter what she does

Yeah she already revealed this in her Rolling Stone interview. There is also Julia Michaels that is part of the 3 non-Kevin songs.

What some people here don’t understand is that Dua became the artist who’s NOT about putting 100 unnecessary and bad songs on the album for streams.. She created another cohesive piece of art that people will enjoy and it will make sense once it’s out with these 11 perfect songs, fillers are NOT needed on this record.

*Not to mention she had at least 40 perfectly mixed songs and decided to go with 11.

Either way, I still think 11 tracks seem a little short for a 4 year wait album 🤷‍♀️
