hallucinate Posted May 2 Posted May 2 whew almost thought anything for love was going to be BWBB 2.0 but it served this
KatyPrismSpirit Posted May 2 Posted May 2 The little sensual french ad-libs on the post chorus of french exit are so minimal but yet add SO much to the overall song. like she really got those detailed references on point for that track. Perfect summer track. 1 1
drip drop Posted May 2 Posted May 2 this album is playing by the pool and that's it. it's an easy and cute listen.
drip drop Posted May 2 Posted May 2 falling forever is the best song btw. why am i not seeing any falling forever stans? literally it's better than singles.... illusion is the worst song that ever exists after happy by pharel williams 1

Please can you elaborate in which way this album feels like any version of Future Nostalgia? It really doesn't take a professional to hear the complete sonical departure from her previous album. This comment along with others who in any way can compare these two albums are straight up nonsense at this point. Did we hear the same album or are you listening to some kind of fake leak that is made up of Future Nostalgia b sides? Girl both albums are dance pop and nothing genre bending lol. It's not really a brand new sound for her. Most people (specifically the GP) won't think twice about this being some departure from her past sound… because it's not. 1
Yes, AND Posted May 2 Posted May 2 These walls Whatcha doing French exit are all FIRE tracks. Whatcha is global smash material. First track is not good.
Souvenir Posted May 2 Posted May 2 eh i didnt like this, her worst album im sorry however i enjoyed the singles + maria. Also falling forever is one of her best songs.
drip drop Posted May 2 Posted May 2 i wonder how does Miss Maria feel about being mentioned in a song that talks about how your ex's new gf is grateful for you for all the love you gave to him
despy Posted May 2 Posted May 2 me knowing that French Exit is not only the best song on the alberm but also her most sophisticated/cunty song to date 1
Human Fly Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Umm i'm in the first half so far. Songs aint bad but they're nothing groundbreaking hit singles.
wildsidenormani Posted May 2 Posted May 2 end of an era is making its way to my no. 1 spot. it makes me feel like i'm on a yacht with my boobs out and a glass of veuve clicqout 1 2
JoeAg Posted May 2 Posted May 2 is there anything redolent of Love Again on here? or Break My Heart? I know y'all have told me that Whatcha Doing is like Pretty Please so I'm perched for that!

Also the mediterranean influences 1 1

Like they put the bones of these amazing songs together but they needed a proper hitmaker producer in the studio to give them that last touch She definitely needs a vocal producer and some good backing vocalists. 1

Did we hear the same album or are you listening to some kind of fake leak that is made up of Future Nostalgia b sides? Lol we definitely listened to the same album. It doesn't take a professional to realise they're both dance pop albums either. There's nothing wrong it at all. The majority, if not all the songs wouldn't sound out of place at all on FN. It's just nothing new from her. Houdini and Training Season were definitely a step in the right direction, but the rest of the project just retreads. Some of the tracks wouldn't sound out of place on a Anne-Marie or Mabel record. PS. I also didn't say I didn't like it. I thought it was a nice album. It just lacks any punch or personality the first two singles had. Edited May 2 by Cottonmouth 3
alfonso12 Posted May 2 Posted May 2 I've listened thrice and even though there's not a song as good as Levitating or Physical at least there isn't one as bad as Good in bed or Boys will be boys. Happy for you is an amazing album closer, her best. 1

And how does this made up narrative fit Rolling Stone giving us album description and lyrics for her cover story she did last year? 2
