Not sure if this is the right area to post this @ mods please move if not. Just wondering if anyone else on this forum is not into all this stan drama comparing everyone to each other. I like what music I like I'm not gonna HATE on another artist just because I like someone else. I like Beyonce, i like Taylor, I like Nicki, I like Cardi, I like Meg etc. I'm not gonna be blind to call out their shortcomings and there are things I don't like about all of them I'm just genuinely listening to the music I like.

Ooo I'm gonna ignore all of that but let me just say I like Gaga too she has this thing where I can't hear one song from her without getting in the mood to listen to all of her music 

Yup that’s exactly how i feel 

i only listen to the music that i like and that’s it. Also i know it’s ATRL and gays love their pop divas but fighting over celebs in general is a bit embarrassing tbh 

tbh yes. it's possible to enjoy pop culture without all the delusion and pickme energy of stanning. your faves are human just like us, the god-like pedestal worshipping is unnecessary.

I just genuinely think I am too old with too many real life problems to be fighting over trivial stuff like this.

Same, especially with how hypocritical stan culture is when it comes to actions and/or music their fave makes versus that of artists stan culture tells them to hate.

i will forever indulge in petty stan wars because that's how i spent a majority of my adolescence and it is the easiest and cheapest entertainment you can get.

 

but i am not into stans in the fact that, i won't date a stan ever again. the constant deep cuts in the car, the pointless stories for every song, the unnecessary spending... yeah i would NEVER do that to myself again.

I used to entertain stan wars back in my teens but now that I'm closer to 30 than 20, I've got other fish to fry.

I will never put my "faves" over the music. lol. That's not even enjoyable, like do you actually like music fr if you do that?

Most of the people here are like I would say. For example see the difference of album /single threads and messy threads (who got more sales awards) etc. Album threads have way more users who reply there unlike those other threads which usually always the same messy users contribute. So no I wouldn't say you are out of place here. 

Stans learn as they get older that their faves will eventually get tired and not release musical output at the rate they once did during that faves imperial phase (the period that hooked the Stan in the first place). 
 

The Stan will evolve to realize they are simply a music lover and will still want fresh music to fill the hole in their musical taste that gets left behind once their fave gets tired/ decreases musical output.

 

This will force the Stan to evolve and mature as a lifelong lover of contemporary music as the (at that point former Stan) discovers other artists who come along and release songs that resonate and speak to the former Stan of experiences they face in their future life. 
 

Their musical palate will also evolve (if it does not, that then becomes symptomatic of non physical, longer term health issues).

In a general way i get away from stan culture. It was entertaining when i was 20 but i guess i'm too old for that now.

 

I don't find any pleasure "stanning" celebrities. I'm here for the music, if it's good i take, it it's not i check another one.
