DL3 - what went wrong?

Featured Replies

I like that she released the 30 second snippet of her new single. She's giving it time to grow on tiktok before releasing it so the chart performance will be better. That's what Jack Harlow and a lot of people do now. It's really smart.

Houdini is far from a hit anywhere in the world. Yes, she can have a hit in the future. But so far, this era is struggling.

Lets wait till March/April before coming to that conclusion. Big performance slots are coming (Brits, Oscars, Grammy) + probably a new Interview cycle + more performances.

DL3 hasn't really started as of now. Even the MV for Houdini is giving "cute intro" to the era if anything.

the why releasing houdini so early, if they want a "promo" or buzz single then Dance The Night is...

it's definitely an OK hit. But not a lead single type of hit.

Houdini is a moderate hit and anyone who thinks otherwise isn´t being objective. It gets 2.5M daily streams consistently. Is it a smash? No. Is it holding on quite well, especially in Europe? Absolutely.

They just didn’t handle Houdini well at all. And I think it’s clear to everyone it was a last minute lead single decision, which shouldn’t have been done imo.

Will be interesting to see what happens after the Grammys performance. Houdini just can’t seem to take off in the US. But maybe the Grammys will give it one last nice push.

I think Houdini is fine as a lead single, the song is fun, catchy, simple but very well crafting pop-disco song. It just her team give a little to no attention to the song. :monkey:

she’s released only one single so far and it’s a WW hit :rip:

ATRL always so out of touch with reality

Is "A hit" in the room with us right now? :giraffe:

And who the f downvoting me, I like Dua and wants her to win, "Houdini" is my jam. :jamming:.  Stop downvote me dummy. :rogue:

This threads :deadbanana4:

DL3 has only 1 song out and it's a WW hit, not a smash hit? That's okay; but is doing fine.

Are you trying to get a hit thread when this gets bumped?

She would need to be nominated to be allowed to perform.
